It has decimated the demographics and gender balance of Ukraine (country of mostly men now).It has destroyed the economic future of all eastern europe since when this war is over both countries involved will be sucked into a black hole recession sparked by falling demand for arms. For ukraine specifically there is no bailout large enough to rebound from their international debt.The sheer scale of destruction is post WW2 Dresden levels across an area the size of portugal.The ease at which new machines like drones have made death more efficient have made war a savage terror even more than it has ever been.The future after this is over is so bleak its not worth surviving for.
