When carrying, that spring underneath the trigger guard will allow ingress of everything. I've carried a USP9C for two years through all seasons in the South. I've never had a gun rust internally to the point of nothing functioning like a USP. Trigger bar, mag release, safety/decocker, the whole firing system, completely nonfunctional. I'm convinced either the majority carry and don't work/go outside, or they simply don't carry.
