Tokyo, ex-Edo, has been prostitution central of Japan since its very foundation. it was first built as a giant military base plus bordel militaire plus administrative capital at the very end of the Sengoku Jidai, the great 16th century civil wars that unified Japan and created Japanese culture as you know it. Kabuki-cho is a feature not a bug; it was created so that soldiers could drink and fuck while serving in the capital as a standing army, far away from home

hentai is as much a part of Japanese culture as samurai

This is the first use of the upgraded version of the FP-2, the old version has 105 kg (232 lb) of explosives, this version has 156 kg (344 lb) of explosives. To put it into perspective, the US Mk 82 500 lb bomb has 192 lbs of explosives and the Mk 83 1000 lb bomb has 445 lbs of explosives. So it's between the 500 and 1000 lb bombs, makes sense on the destruction.

Figures that the FSB would take the prettiest hotel as their HQ.

It was a beach hotel/resort, and it looks like many of the smaller structures were mostly wood.
With 75 kg of HE or thermobarics per drone, that place is now a moonscape.

Correction. 156 kg of boom.

Well, google is a nigger and won't let me download the pics of that place.
So here is another gay link
https://maps.app.goo.gl/bNUZy6czLksJEK5Z8
That was the main building.

In the 'after' view of the vid around 0:52, we can see that two of the main buildigns may remain usable, everything else took direct hits and was on fire.
The beachside structures remain standing, too. Maybe some blast and splinter damage there.

Also, this is fucking weird. I use random people's holiday pics from six years ago to do wannabe osint BDA.

Why is there so much drawing of one of the basic activity outside of eating?
>>
>>65172070
Japan had a period of several hundred years of relative stability, isolation and no prude puritan influence, so they made quite a number of very explicit erotic drawings, stories, etc.

That first 'octopus having his way with the fisherman's wife' tentacle rape scene, all kinds of very tame domestic fucking, some scenes of ladies enjoying the company of other ladies. The gay homosex appears to be mostly in written form, though.

Pic vaguely related, quite a lot of this stuff was 'misinterpreted' due to victorian age prudishness.

I went past a park where the buildings are shuttered and there are bullet holes in the trees.

Russians used it as a prison when they occupied Bucha and the bullet holes on the trees were from executions I believe.

Plenty of stuff that can go boom.

As of 2 months ago, the 7049th and 80th have had their SPG and towed artillery storage yards remain the same since summer of last year according to satellite imagery from February. So these are most likely being used as consolidation and storage yards for SPGs and towed artillery. Plus being used to store engineering and transport vehicles of various types. And as of February, UVZ has had a count of 417 hulls compared to the 482 from November of last year

When I was in China years before the war, richer Chinese business men and executives would semi-often have slavic girlfriends/wives.

Seeing the development of drones and their tactical usage, could they be used to take back the Kinburn peninsula? Using air and sea drones to create an area of denial for supplies into the peninsula, ensuring nothing reaches the military forces stationed there and then after a month launch an amphibious invasion with AD support.

>could they be used to take back the Kinburn peninsula? Using air and sea drones to create an area of denial for supplies into the peninsula, ensuring nothing reaches the military forces stationed there
I think they've been doing that for quite a while.
The peninsula isn't very useful though, outside of the political objective of 100% liberating mykolaiv oblast I think it's in.
It's certainly under Ukrainian fire-control, that was true of artillery already anyway though.
If Ukraine took it, they'd have to defend it and it's also well within range of Russian forces who can directly assault it, not to mention also having fire control over it.

It wouldn't be hard to take I think but there's nothing there and it would be costly to defend.
Ultimately, it's not worth it I don't think.
Not until the land further east and south has been taken too.

I mean at its narrowest it is 4 km's. I took a look in google and there is actually trenches (most likely abandoned by now) all the way up and down at its narrowest. Maybe it's just me, but am just looking for interesting opportunities that could cause headaches for the Russians now that their AD is really weak.

Also interestingly enough, the Americans proposed that Russia should give it back as part of a peace settlement: https://www.saratoga-foundation.org/p/unlocking-the-dnipro-the-struggle

There's no cover, no structures, fuck all trees and you're getting shelled constantly.
Why the fuck would you want to occupy it?
It's already denied to Russia anyway because they'd have all the same problems and presumably, the mobiks there are already dead and I doubt it's been restocked.
If it has, it's basically the feeding mobiks to drones meme, which we know they're fond of but that's always to capture territory whereas, on paper, this is already captured and there's no bonuses to be gotten from resupplying the trenches with fresh mobik meat.

Step 1 for normal countries would be 'Do not invade countries that will drone you'

If it's uppity thirdies attempting to drone actual first world people, try 'integrated air defense'.
A system the uses sensor fusion to detect everything from IRBM to Shahed, and sends out an intercepotor/fighter/SAM/laser to remove the threat.
Then you drone/JDAM/IRBM them right back.
>>
>>65173551
Legit not a problem for modern militaries. You cant defend against 100% of attacks, they will always get through, but its not actually that hard to prevent systemic degradation.

First step is to just kill them. You know: Emit & Die

Well, no. Look at Ukraine. They're making interceptor drones for 1k€, and you can have a lot of those with small distributed AD teams.

You have to ask yourself 'how much am I willing to pay to stop that refinery from exploding?'
In Russia's case the answer is 'A Yacht and a nice Dacha on the Black Sea'
More intelligent people will spend that money on defenses.

The point here is tha the defensive measure already exist, they are in mass prudction, but not yet adopted widely.

Babayagas can be many times that

actual interceptor drones which can reliably take down Russian drones? they're subcontracting those to American developers, and they need expensive electronics. and they're big and heavy, the ODIN is about the size of a small girl

This might as well be the Drone General so I'll post this here.

FDF is taking this drone shit VERY much to heart. They're been ramping up drone training a fuck ton in exercises this summer, across all units. We had Ukrainian drone operators here in a big exercise a month back and now the Utti Jaeger Regiment is doing FPV strike training, vid related.

At the risk of sounding biased, I think Finland will rise as the fastest adopter of FPV & general drone tactics in the west aside from Ukraine. We've had constant communication & training with them, and I wouldn't be surprised if unofficial FDF observers are embedded in Ukraine as well, in addition to our conscripts who've served & continue to serve in the International Legion.

Thats bs. There were/are resorts, but all of azov is a poverty-tier destination. Only thing cheaper is to camp nearby your local river or something.
The "sea" itself is a shallow puddle that gets very warm, and full of agricultural runoff from all surrounding areas so it heavily blooms every summer, it's water green goop that makes you look like a shrek after a swim in it.
And that water on the other side of arabat spit? That's syvash(from "dirt" or something like that in turkic), also known(since times of ancient greeks) as "rotten/putrid lake/sea" - it is even worse than the sea itself.

It is day 1549 of the American Special Military Operation in the de-cartelization of Mexico. The US army had to retreat from the outskirts of Chihuahua. Despite being bombarded everyday since the beginning of the war by Sherman Calliopes, Tijuana was only recently liberated by the brave fighters of the 2nd tanks battalion of the US Marines, fielding the M60 sepV2 edition.
The USA continues its terror campaign over mexican cities thanks to the supply of suicide drones by Afghanistan, as it’s too dangerous for the USAF to operate its F-4 Phantoms and F-105 Thunderchiefs above mexican airspace.
As per Bloomberg, the US Armys MGM-52 Lance ballistic missile has proved itself to be a "silver bullet" to the Mexican HQ-9 SAM launchers donated by Cuba and Venezuela, allowing for some much needed breathing space for USAF pilots.
The deathrow volunteers of the penal bataillon of BlackWater continue their offensive on San Rafael de las Tortillas (185 inhabitants) for the 5th month in a row despite enormous casualties, and successfully recaptured Miguel’s farm for the 8th time.
Following the repeated losses from Mexican ballistic missiles and cartel semi-submersible marine drones crippling its forces, the US Navy’s Pacific Fleet doesn’t dare leaving its port in Honolulu.
Swarms of Mexican FP-2 "Enchilada" long range strike drones have repedeatly struck Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri with the help of Jamaican intel, as the US MIM-23 Hawk batteries are critically low on ammo due to succeseful mexican strikes on Raytheon manufacturing facilities.
From the White House, President for Life George H. W. Bush announced 3 months ago the recruitement of 40’000 mercenary fighters from South Vietnam to support the liberation forces of the Peoples Republic of Baja California, but none have been spotted on the front lines so far.

Zelenskyy wasn't even as good as all that and was allegedly kind of checked-out and not really expecting to get anything genuinely done and then suddenly he's playing an upstanding and heroic president with an anti-corruption reputation and he has to live that role full-time instead of just on the campaign trail and he has to make it work or his country doesn't get the aid it needs to win the war.

Budanov is just autistic and those are hard to corrupt because they're so based in self-taught codes of behaviour and chosen principles.
>>
>>65174406
Agreed completely, on Zelensky, he probably would have pushed the needle towards the good side a bit and cutting some corruption away if not for the war. But I think it is times like these that show the true measure of a man, being forced to be the wartime president made him rise to the occasion. He's visibly so fucking tired all the time that once the war is over, he'll be done with politics forever I bet.

And on Budanov, yeah that's my read exactly as well. And he personally has a massive axe to grind with ziggers as well given their numerous assassination attempts on him and his loved ones. Dude's the literal manifestation of weaponized autism by this point and I doubt that there is a thing on this whole damned Earth that could corrupt him from his path at this point, especially given he's a man of faith and probably fatalistic as well.

It's time for zigger's evening drone raid. This has been going on daily for at least the whole month, btw.
>>
>>65174497
It's pretty incredible when you think about it. Ukraine has suffered daily raids for pretty much the whole war to varying scales. Now a few weeks of the same to Russia and it's fucking crippling them.

>Dude's the literal manifestation of weaponized autism by this point and I doubt that there is a thing on this whole damned Earth that could corrupt him from his path at this point, especially given he's a man of faith and probably fatalistic as well.
I wouldn't use the word fatalistic, I'd say Stoic, in the Aurelian sense (I bet he's fucking read the meditations and taken it seriously).

And yeah about Zelensky, though with him I would suggest that he the reason he had kinda sorta given up on corruption is because he couldn't even get in a position to do anything without a corrupt oligarch holding his leash and since the supreme court was already corrupt and so is everything else, it's way too much for him to actually fix and he knows it. Chipping away at a few areas is about the best he can do.
Then suddenly there's a war and he's got all the power in the world, can't be voted out, and anyone who gets in his way is a traitor and he can go to town. Then the west tells them that they need him to fix this or they're not going to pour money into Ukraine that immediately drains into oligarch pockets.
So suddenly NAP get way more power and can get shit done, SBU get told to root out traitors and corrupt alike, since that's sort of the same thing now and while Budanov is a coincidence it shows that Zelenskyy not only is living up to the ideal due to the war but the war gave him the power to cut his leash but also an immense amount of political capital and the ability to sic hungry dogs on corrupt officials.
If it wasn't Budanov, there's probably a few other fanatical patriotic officers out there and it's a matter of finding one who's intelligent enough to understand the task and giving them the authority to act.
>>
>>65174393

>It's pretty incredible when you think about it. Ukraine has suffered daily raids for pretty much the whole war to varying scales. Now a few weeks of the same to Russia and it's fucking crippling them.
The throw weight has also shifted to Ukraine, they're sending more than Russia is, every night except the biggest raids Russia can put together...and Ukraine could even match that if they felt like saving up.

So it's not even proportionally larger, it's larger in absolute terms. Ukraine is punching at a 1:10 ratio compared to Russia.
So umm, thanks europe for the cash4drones program, using those euros well bros

Russia is down to about 120/night and missiles are only a handful every few days.
They were aiming for 1k/day a year ago and looking like they'd get there.
>>
>>65174547
nothing like war to make everyone sit up and say "oh gee maybe we shouldn't be corrupt bastards and rob our neighbours of billions of dollars"
>>
>>65174547
I meant fatalistic in the sense that he believes in an ultimate creator's plan for him & the world at large. But stoic is definitely a good way to describe him as well, it was what I was considering using as well, but given he's a theist it wasn't quite as accurate imo. And ditto about meditations, he probably has that shit memorized lmao. I bet he would get along with Mad Dog Mattis very well.

That's what I've gathered about Zelensky as well, given his past and rise to power before the war. But I would give Budanov more credit here, given the nature of the work SBU does, it needs a rock solid leader. Sure there might be some other officers who're as fanatical in their support to the state, but to the extent that Budanov has been incorruptible? I dunno man, it takes a strong fucking man to keep on the straight and narrow, especially in the darker moments of the war, when you & everything you hold dear is threatened with death or worse, and you have the option to stop that from happening.
>>
>>65174577
Martial law meant that Zelenskyy didn't need to worry about elections and was basically immune to propaganda from political enemies.
Nobody is going to remember him as being too hard on business, so there's nothing to fear from going to town and obviously, he probably wouldn't stand for president anyway so doesn't need the poltiical support from patrons but also if he did, he still wouldn't need the support because of his war hero status.
It gave him independence from politics.

I don't think officials really stopped being corrupt, even in the defence sector there were procurement scandals about food and uniforms and stuff.

>Budanov received a vyshyvanka embroidered for him by children.
>Alla Hordiienko, Director General of the National Library of Ukraine for Children, who personally presented the embroidered shirt to the head of the President's Office, said that the children had “coded the embroidery for victory and triumph.”
>The design features Cossack and state symbols, as well as figures of a cat, a frog, and an owl — symbols of vigilance, intuition, and observation.
>The cat Gunther and the frog Pasha became talismans of the scouts, and their inclusion gave the embroidery a personal meaning, Hordiienko said.
>The owl on the back symbolizes strategy and serves as the main amulet. It is also featured on the coat of arms of the Main Intelligence Directorate, which Budanov previously headed.
>The composition is complemented by a sword as a symbol of strength, as well as an author’s code of lines and knots representing stability and security.
>The children are participants in the “Children Embroider Victory” initiative, launched in 2022. In 2023, it grew into the “Embroidery for a Hero” project.
>The children themselves choose a prominent Ukrainian to honor and embroider a shirt for them. Previously, they presented embroidered shirts to Valerii Zaluzhnyi and Vasyl Maliuk, and they are now working on new projects.

There's been a bunch of political propaganda around Budanov, both for and against.

There's campaigns to discredit him and counter-campaigns heading that off by leaking the intended campaigns.
Some of it is about Yermach and Mindich both being in his sights, some of it is possibly from Zaluzhny's political patrons who are lining him up for President after the war and Bundanov is seen as the main competition

>>
>>65174601
The vyvyshanka might be a part of this campaign, though it could be entirely organic also.
I think Zelenskyy's PR team is helping craft Budanov's image so that he is resistant to smears that the officials being purged might try.
This could also be SBU running their own influence campaign to get one of their own into high office, but it's also a valid counter-intel propaganda/anti-disinfo campaign to counter Russian propaganda and influence campaigns, which certainly do exist.

Unless the Russians managed to set their own cement factory on fire. Which is not impossible, I guess, but iseriously doubt Ukraine droned that particular place.

That place northeast though. . .THAT is an oil storage facility. Or rather, it was, because those blips there are either a fire of everything around the place, OR flames reaching hundreds of meters into the air for long enough to show up on FIRMS.
Or both.

btw this is Verkhnebakansky in Krasnodar Krai, unclear what the fires are from.

It does. Mainly things like smalters in steel mills, cement factories if tehy're in teh open like in the pic and, yes, big flare stacks.

Factories do not show up, they're looking for IR signatures above a certain size and intensity. Cooling towers do not show either, they'e not hot enough.

See these bigass swhite quarries next to them? They're mining Limestone there, it gets burned to clinker in giant ass rotary kilns.

>They are at smelter-like temps, and running 24/7. That is why the blips show up.
You're right that these hot spots pre-date tonight's raid and are consistent in location, though not timing.
They're clearly not 24/7, it's easy to find periods in the last month where they're not hot (and other things are, so it's not from lack of coverage).
So it does seem like industrial activity, or at least consistent with that interpretation/narrative.

https://firms.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/map/#t:tsd;d:2026-05-17;@37.784,44.782,12.662zg

>>65175755
>But I guess only in russia the motor continues on the original flight path into the oil tank
If the debris is entering an oil depot, a lot of incidental impacts will have consequences.
If it's an apartment building, it's just going to burn out some rooms on the exterior of the building.
The one I was at, only two whole apartments were destroyed, otherwise it was several kitchens above and below the impact as well as the impact apartment itself.
The rest of the fire was from parts of the engine or fuel system smacking into the outside of the building and splattering burning fuel across the facade that caused fires in surrounding rooms that faced the street.

It's not propaganda or cope (well not always), debris really is dangerous.
Russia tries to use this as a weapon sometimes by putting randomly timed frag IEDs on their sneeds so that the debris mines city streets.

Not for a second, that initial invasion reeked of misplaced confidence every step of the way. He was fed very bad intel.

It's a good thing that we're running constant large exercises then too. At a minimum, there are 2 large war games in Finland for conscripts per year that have multiple regiments & brigades participating from all around Finland. These are the last exercises for them before moving to the reserve, and lately in basically every one of them they've had NATO troops from multiple nations participating.

With the ascension to NATO, we've also had a big increase in those as well, and they usually also take part in our own war games if they're at roughly the same time. And then there are smaller exercises going on as well, mostly on individual regiment scale. These have also had NATO allies participate.

Like currently, there's Karerlian Sword 26, and Saber Strike 26 ongoing, and Mallet Strike 126 just ended, though that was more geared toward AD. NATO had its own exercise with Rock Sisu without Finnish troops, which got rolled into Saber Strike 26 after it ended. Just in these exercises there's been troops from Poland, Italy, France, Hungary, the US, and GB here.

Following all this I have a feeling that NATO at large really appreciates our vast training areas and our own training schedules. And it does bring a warm feeling knowing that at any moment, there's most likely quite a bit of foreign troops just training in Finland.

In other news, Ukraine continues its drone purges. This time a drone base that has been hunting Kherson civilians got its ass blasted.

Ukraine gonna be booming with its MIC after the war for sure.

More strikes from last night I think, in Luhansk this time. Ziggers have started storing fuel in train cars because everything else already got drone so that's why they're targeting them now.

Lmao, ziggers catching on.

Hate to be a downer but those first few ship attacks don't look super successful. First one seems to have hit the pier, other ones cut off too soon. Not that they definitely weren't hit, but it's very hard to be certain.
