Is it possible to use lasers not to destroy, but to actually blind drones? If the answer is yes, why aren't we doing that?
>>65176197What was that?
>>65176197I hate these little fuckers.
>>65176195>Is it possible to use lasers not to destroy>If only such power could be used for good and not evilBased idealistic dreamer.
>>65176260I'm actually in favor of destruction. But blinding them sounds a lot simpler to me.
>>65176207IIRC an ukie drone did a laser sweep across the road to fry fiber optics on zigger ambusher drones
>>65176195Destroying disables the warhead, while blinding means the warhead has a non-zero chance of still hitting you on impact.
>>65176302That's cool as hell. I wonder why we don't see that often.
>>65176302>>65176197God damn that's cool as fuck
>>65176195Theoretically yes but actually hitting the drone camera is tricky. The thing is tiny and drones move fast.Maybe a strobe light?>>65176207Laser hit the fiberoptic line and there was enough bleed-through that it fried the fiber-optic-to-electrical data module.

>>65176195glowiest of glownigers
>>65176195How would you verify that you successfully blinded the drone? Destroying a drone gives immediate feedback
>>65176195There is already LED flashbangs, so I don't see a reason why not
