Serious answer: it's the same as other camouflage. It's less a positive advantage and more an absence of a crippling disadvantage. The side who doesn't camo up will be noticed a critical few seconds earlier than the side which does.

So if you're a grunt fighting other grunts in the woods at a 50 meter+ distance yes. If you're doing CQB, whether that's a regular goy waking up in your apartment to a nog breaking in or as an elite operator blasting into Iranian nuclear defense silos, it doesn't really matter.

Yes. Especially if you use cloth or natural vegetation instead of paint.
