>"our previous heavy tanks have issues where the engine and transmission couldn't bare the weight and tend to sink to the ground and are very difficult to maintain and fix and too expensive to make, your thoughts hans?"

>make it.... more heavier.

>tend to sink to the ground
Ground pressure for those bigass Germans things was not worse than for most other tanks of the period.

That doesn't solve the transmission or engine overload, but they didn't randomly sink in mud, just llike T-34s, Panthers or Shermans didn't.

its well known the axis suffered from bigger is better until they started to become defeated

Germans understood the most important thing.
Military vehicles exist for two purposes:
>Selling scale model kits
>Video game assets
Ultimately, nothing else matters.
>>
I wish they hadn't made the folly of deploying such a heavy weapon in the forests and mountainous regions around the Rhine, but instead had at least deployed it on the Eastern Front to leave behind a record of glorious small-scale battles.

>our previous heavy tanks have issues where the engine and transmission couldn't bare the weight and tend to sink to the ground

A Tiger I had the ground pressure of a Sherman, dear ESL newfriend.
>>65178824
They would've actually been more successful if that were true. Hitler demanded the long 75 as the standard issue gun before they even invaded France. The military and industry then quietly never implemented it until he threatened heads would roll like 2 years later. At that point it was too late to have a full tank fleet with great guns for barbarossa.
>>
>>65178787
Maybe on firm ground, but on soft ground the heavier your tank is, the more likely it is to sink in and bog down no matter how wide your tracks are. The Maus had a ground pressure only 50% more per square inch than the Sherman, but look what happened here. Also, most of the bigger tanks had trouble being towed when damaged or they broke down, as well as trying to find bridges that could take their weight- most had to find shallow bits they could ford or snorkle across, hoping their fat ass tank didnt lose traction or dig in (due to their weight) trying to climb the soft bank on the other side (Tigers at Kursk).

>Maybe on firm ground, but on soft ground the heavier your tank is, the more likely it is to sink in and bog down no matter how wide your tracks are.
That's not how ground pressure works, you fucking retard lmao
Where are you from? Did you not have any physics classes in highschool?
>>
>>65179586
>only 50% more
That's a lot more
>>
>bare the weight

What's with the recent trend of third worlders/ESLs coming here with a hateboner for the Wehrmacht? Did some reddit youtuber mention /k/?
Hasn't been like that since the start of the 3 day special military operation when poles flooded the board.
>>
>>65179586
>but on soft ground the heavier your tank is, the more likely it is to sink in and bog down no matter how wide your tracks are.
you've got plenty of confidence, anon. that's great. if only you weren't also an idiot

>What's with the recent trend of third worlders/ESLs coming here with a hateboner for the Wehrmacht?
how long have you been here, five minutes? the phrase "wehraboo" has existed for almost three decades now, specifically to make fun of people who grew up with nazi-glazing history channel specials.
>>
>>65179900
>how long have you been here, five minutes?
20 years, anon.
> the phrase "wehraboo" has existed
That wasn't my point, niggerboy.

It's a single word, thirdie.

Anon, unless you're talking about the grammatical structure of sentences you're not gonna use the fourth definition there. I doubt you even know what an adverbial phrase is.
What the fuck are you doing on my board, brown boy?

nta, but how long have you been here, 2 years? Back in 07-08 there were german military threads all the time on this board and the word wehraboo wasn't uttered once. Wehraboo is reddit leftist cope.

I'm sorry, nigger, but a phrase has more than one word unless you analyze the grammatical structure of a sentence. You couldn't even tell apart a subject from an object and it wasn't the topic in the first place, so that clearly doesn't apply here. How about the oxford dictionary?
>inb4 no I was totally using the 15th century meaning where people used it on single words due to its original greek translation

you'll get it someday kiddo. maybe ask your middle-school English teacher for some one-on-one time

You're Indian, aren't you?
I can't think of another ethnicity who'd just blatantly lie about how to read a dictionary when everybody who reads it knows that definitions are context-bound by nature and a tranny in a car is different from a tranny in your porn. Or, in this case, that "phrase" for grammatical construction is wrong to use outside of that context.
-1000 izzat.

>>65179586
>the heavier your tank is, the more likely it is to sink in and bog down no matter how wide your tracks are
That's just false. And German tanks had no more reliability issues than any other country. Every engineering program has a several weeks of teething issues of first batches.

anon, why would an indian start a conversation by bringing up the History Channel?
>>
>>65180265
That's not how this started and he's just repeating reddit lore. Considering the antipathy he holds for people from the other end of the world 100 years ago and his lack of knowledge on the actual topic, this is probably not the first time it's been discussed.

Probably something about ground pressure, anon. I heard that if the soil is soft enough it stops mattering and how heavy your tank is is more important.
>>
>>65180361
you should crack a window and get some fresh oxygen in your room

I'm not Indian anon, my body odour isn't a lethal weapon.
So what do you think about that ground pressure, huh? Weird how that flies out the window in mud.
>>

When you think about it, a ship is just a tank with really, really wide tracks.

(NTA) I have. It's nice to visit a museum where the exhibits are fine with being slapped on the ass and the staff have no problem with you doing so.
