I can abide this. How do you reconcile M193 or loads that are inherently incapable of 1/submoa accuracy? My resident PRS autist says "73gr Berger" is what was (or is) typically used to proof barrels

>>65180471
gotta agree. I will always be the weakest link in the precision chain anyways, but I'm glad you can appreciate why I'm wondering.

>>
>>65181188
>My resident PRS autist says "73gr Berger" is what was (or is) typically used to proof barrels

It heavily depends on who is doing the 'deciding' of what is or isn't sub moa. If it's some company trying to sell you barrels, they'll do a 10 shot grouping and say "yup, sub moa" Because they're trying to sell you a barrel. But for example, for something in the military to be considered a "sniper rifle" it has to be at minimum a 1 moa rifle. But they're contracted that way. That's why something like a barret is not a sniper rifle, it's an anti-material rifle, because a barret will never be sub moa, regardless if it's being used by a sniper or not, regardless of what kind of ammo you use. Something like the M2010 was specifically contracted to be 1 moa or better, because it's specifically a precision rifle.

I get it, it's really in the eye of the beholder. I am usually fighting a lot of factors:
>no sled
>no proper bag just sock with beads
>always some wind bc outdoor range
>I just suck at PRS
Gun is certainly sub-moa capable (with AAC 77gr OTMs and NAS3 85gr). But I guess I'll reserve judgement until I see how it does with some other loads now that the barrel is breaking 1k

lil over 2600, same as the old AAC 77gr. The BAM 85s are standard pressure though, not hot. Their words:
>This advanced nickel-alloy case provides an extra 10% case volume, resulting in higher speeds while maintaining lower pressures
Shoots like a dream for me though, highly recommend.

they are supersonic out to 900y (18" barrel) and will actually get there reliably...5/5 @940y with wind. I'm curious about the terminal ballistics but that's secondary to me, anything within realistic SD/HD ranges is getting a purpose built load, soft point/black tip etc. Plus the bullet is made by Barnes so it has that going for it...
>>
>>65181958
Most people would be totally fine using an M4gery desu. It does rifle things just fine even today, pretty light, depending on what you put on it. The days of cheap lights are gone, the days of cheap Chinese clones that work fine are here though. Cheap RASs are gone forever though, and nobody makes a clone of it that doesn't look fucked up
>>
>>65182178
honestly the PSA quad rail isn't that bad for a cheap clone
the ribs they come with are kinda dogshit, only thing i'd use them for is to paint without fucking up a KAC rib or something & the vert grip isn't nearly as good as a KAC but it works

If the bolt release fails, hitting the forward assist is faster than manipulating the charging handle. You can also function test your auto sear with the forward assist. That video from Forgotten Weapons was when Cardboard Ian, Karl the Cuck and Gilaman Phagan were peddling those shitty WWSD2020 guns, making up excuses for why it didn't have a chrome lined barrel, replaceable grip, forward assist, et c.

The auto sear will catch the bolt carrier if you intentionally lag it forward. If you press the forward assist while having the trigger still pulled, the hammer will strike in the same moment thus confirming that it's properly timed by 1/8th of an inch.
