And I don’t have a good carry pistol for the summer weather.
Is it guud to go?
>>
I have one, love it. It's a bit snappy for the first couple hundred rounds but eventually you warm up to it. One downside is its proprietary mags and a lack of generic holsters available
>>
>>65184875
I’ve heard people reporting issues with the 15 round mag, whereas the 13 round one seems to be good to go
>>
>43s are cheaper, lighter, and have better market support
>hellcats are lighter
>dagger micros are lighter, cheaper, and good enough for most people
the shield is not worth the price in my opinion
>>
>>65185176

43s are unwieldy and dull
>>
>>65184863
it has a Fully tensioned striker and no safety - for me its a trash tier or at most a plinker for the range
NEVER CARRY A FULL TENSION STRIKER
or u will get p320ed
>>
>>65185818
But its got the trigger dingus isnt it good then?
>>
>>65185818
This is neofudd shit.
>>
>>65185818
You can buy a version with a thumb safety.
>>
>>65185818
You are fake news

can you show me any evidence of an M&P of any model firing uncommanded
>>
>>65185818
virtually all striker guns are fully tensioned, you're an idiot
>>
>>65184951
It's the follower. Just take some super high grit sandpaper and polish the sides of the follower until it loads easy and cycles cleanly. Some mags won't require this.
>>
Should have kept the OG shield grip
>>
>>65186102
If you mean they should've kept the OG shield plus grip I completely agree
I like my 10 round magazines a lot and the fact you can't fit one of those in the shield X is a dealbreaker for me
>>
I have the shield model when it first came out, is it still a good gun? 547 rounds shot through it. I would like the glow sights though but not sure if they work with my holster
>>
>pros
>Very reliable
>Comes comped from the factory
>13-15 rounds in a very slim profile
>Fairly decent gun after the break in period

>Cons
>Lack of holsters
>Like maybe two weapon lights because lol no rail
>Virtually no holster support for x models using lights currently
>15 round mags can be iffy
>>
>>65186203

If you need fifteen rounds, you're a bad shot
>>
>>65186203
shield X is not the shield plus
if you look at the photo you will see an accessory rail
>>
Get a bodyguard 2.0 instead
>>
>>65186220

Whelp, I'm a retard. Please excuse my eagerness to be a dumbass. Thought that was the version I had.
>>
Surprised it took /k/ this long to make a topic thread about it.
(I don't have one nor have fondled one at gun store but seems like a reasonable notch-up from the regular Shield Plus)
>>
>>65186203
>no rail
Has a front frame rail. Are (You) blind?
>>
>>65186255

Yes.
>>
>>65184863
I'm about to buy the csx, consider this if you're already getting a shield with a manual safety. Aluminum frame makes it less snappy.
>>
>>65185984
lol why that reaction?
>>
>>65186203
Fantastic response, thank you!!
>>
>>65186250
I was recommended by a buddy of mine who has worked in gun stores for years. He said he really likes it and he’s a huge Glock fanboy.
>>
>>65186292
How’s the weight with the aluminum frame instead of plastic?
>>
I can't get over the cringe name, sounds like some capeshit garbage
>>
>>65187520
Understandable.

Different anon, it's not a super big difference (it's about 3 oz more) but it definitely feels more "solid" if that makes sense
>>
>>65187503
I have never been issued or carried a handgun with a manual safety.
>>

I don't have experience with the X but I throughly enjoy my shield plus PC. I'm not sure if the X got the same trigger treatment as the PC and I do think the porting genuinely helps with follow up shots. Plus I'm a boomer in young skin so fiber optic sights are the best choice for pistols. Its very easy to carry and dead reliable in the 1.5k or so rounds I've put through it. I cannot recommend it enough, especially now that it addresses my biggest gripe with is lack of rail for mounting a good light (which is why I have chinkshit, it's the only good option that fits)

I actually shot a Glock 43x and a Shield Plus recently for the first time. Both were extremely manageable and accurate. I say manageable because especially for the 43x, some people reported it as “snappy.” It feels the same as every 9mm I’ve shot. I was getting about three inch groupings at 5 yards with both pistols. Getting follow up shots and managing the recoil for either pistol was not an issue at all and I shot pretty much the same with both.
I rented them both out (I wanted to rent out the Shield X but they couldn’t find it, only the Plus) to see if either felt better when shooting, since that’s primary, and since they felt the same I’m gonna have to go with either the best deal or the whatever just fits better in my hand.
With Glock you get that legendary Glock reliability and customization but then the worse capacity and sights. With the Shield X you get better capacity and apparently a better trigger and sights. But it is heavier and bigger I think.

Decisions, decisions…
>>
>>65186022
Not him but Glock and Hellcat aren't
>>
>>65186034
This works.
>>
How's it compare to the Plus?
>>
>>65186203
Weapon lights are a meme especially on a holdout/summer CCW
>>
>>65184875
I don't like them.
Sorry s&w
Love your other stuff
Love the grip.

Imagine if the strip had gone on long enough for Calvin to discover the internet. Sadly it ended just as Freakazoid debuted.
>>
>>65184863
You should get a USPC instead
>>
>>65189909
Anon those are two completely different pistols, might as well tell him to get a Model 60
>>
>>65189917
I'm convinced USPfaggots are the new 10mmfags

glocks not fully tensioned and all of its clone as well
i know its the trend nowdays even vp9 is fully tensioned
i think its not a safe design for ccw guns and i dont give a fuck what you think
i would not feel safe a loaded chamber and a cocked striker ready to go off lmao
p320 exposed that problem very well
for me glock or hk lem triggers are the way to go and you can blow off your sissy tranny dick with a p320
>>
>>65190630
Glock will still light a primer if the striker is released prematurely. You're buying into fuddlore. If you want real double action, get a double action.

>USPfaggots are the new 10mmfags
Each has always been the Same Picture
I'm an HK fag and own a USP among many other older, and newer, Hecker & Koch handguns. But the 'muh USP' shillbotting on /k/ is exactly the same as the 'muh 10 mm' shillbotting. Could even be the same 3 or 4 anons / bots.
Along with of course the Px4langdonfags, and 92fags. (and last but not least blockfags)
Part of this is /hg/cancer spillover out of their plebbit-containment zone
But yeah that 'USPC' anon doesn't know what the fuck he's posting about
