I've seen quite a few images like this of squad compositions from various countries and a lot of them show a lot of grenade launchers. But I haven't seen much evidence irl that underbarrel grenade launchers are that common. There's combat and training footage from all over the world, and it just doesn't seem realistic that there's two grenade launchers per squad, at least not among forces that are actually seeing action these days. Is there a reason for the apparent discrepancy? Is it a logistics issue? To be clear, I'm not saying they aren't being used, obviously they are, just not in nearly the numbers images like this would suggest.

Meat waves only get a rifle nowadays. Your info graphic is bullshit
>>
I usually just assume that any infograph was either made with AI bullshit, or just flat out made up as clickbait
>>
>>65185726
Do they keep a grenade loaded, or do they have them on their belt or some shit and have to take the time to load them?
>>
>>65185785
I don't know.

The person who runs the media page that made this is no lie a tranny chaser. He famously took patreon money and blew it all on drag queen strippers. He is not of sound mind. Afghan falling to the Taliban legitimately broke his brain

Graphics like this typically are meant to represent an ideal unit according to its' TO&E. The real world is not always ideal, especially if you're a poor country and/or a country that has issues with corruption and mismanagement.

That said, most US Army squads do actually have 2 grenade launchers (and marine squads have 3). But they aren't always carried underbarrel, because the M320 can be standalone.

Proof?

You should've seen a while back where some Anon was shilling that the Vietnamese army was able to give everyrifoenan a grenade launcher, and was acting like it was a hard counter to all war.

is this true?

because authorized strength is never what ends up being deployed, come on /k/, this is basic knowledge

The under barrels were usually standalone in my unit as nobody really wanted to have one attached to their rifle. That being said the most based thing about the estonian defence force squad equipment were the copious amounts of nigger TV-s and nigger radios available at your disposal.

this shit still makes me giggle even after hearing about it the first time in 2015

Totally unfamiliar with the term. Is nigger TV a claymore mine? And what is a nigger radio?
>>
There was footage of underbarrels getting used in the early stages of the Ukrainian war

Charts like this are based on handbooks, battle order also did a chart where every single French soldier carries a pistol, which obviously isn't true in practice; but it may indeed be policy. Mobiks dont get shit, professional units do have grenade launchers but you don't see them much, I suspect FPVs have replaced them in their role. Ukrainians dont really use them rigidly either, with launchers being given to everybody regardless of role or tied to a firing position or vehicle rather than carried by an individual.

>claymore mine
imagine a claymore, but its fuckhuge the size of a flat screen tv that irc can shred apc's.

this?
google said it's about 13 or 14 inches across, which is pretty big, size of a typical laptop, but I wouldn't say "size of a flat screen TV" exactly unless you meant one of those old-style 90s mini sets

Why isn't there a simple 1 foot tube with a button, and you toss the tube after? Nade, tube, throw charge and wad. Make it a 100 yard shot.
>>
>>65192030
Yeah the nickname is obviously from the 90s hahaha both culturally and regarding the actual tv size

how young are you kid?
the M72 LAW measures 2 feet unarmed. it has to be extended before firing. effective range is about 200 metres
