Gripensisters, how are we going to spin this?

Finland needs to sweep their roads. Look how dusty they are
>>
>>65186304
That is just steam from their sauna roads.

that's nice and all but how will this combat the drone swarms
>>
why do we let companies sell weapons to other countries
>>
>>65186561
money
>>
>>65186304
>A2A A2G SEAD AWACS EW
and now street sweeping, is there anything the F35 cant do?
>>
>>65186556
Shut the fuck up Elon
You don't even know about EVs anymore
>>
>>65186556
can we see the drone swarms
>>
>>65186596
>and now street sweeping, is there anything the F35 cant do?
Get the F-22 laid.
>>
Don't worry, F-35s will never be able to land a runway flanked by quaint Dalarna houses the same way a Grippen can lol
>>
>>65186556
I expect being able to launch and land low observable fighter/bombers on any sufficiently long stretch of road would both make them much harder to track and destroy on the ground with drones while also allowing them to stage and take off nearer to the front lines given them the range and/or firepower to strike logistical and strategic targets that would otherwise be too heavily guarded to target with standoff munitions
>>
>>65186776
are you the same guy that was crying out your bum earlier today
>>
>>65186746
Well, Gripen would need to have customers to land on runways.
>>
>>65186600
I heard he even forgot about Dre
>>
>>65186295
Can it land on a road? Yes, once. F that road though.
>>
>>65186295
>F-35B
Well yeah, its a VTOL plane?
They already did this with Norwegian F-35A's like 2 or 3 years ago
>>
>>65186877
Hey, we've sold tens of gripen, don't be rude.
>>
>>65186888
>F that road though
Most Finnish roads are already quite fucked by studded tires and the ground freezing deep after months of rain every year.
Maybe they keep these highway landing sites in slightly better condition, though.
>>
>>65186891
if you doubled production you'd sell tens more.
>>
>>65186295
Can't every VTOL craft do that? It's taking off that's the issue
>>
>>65186960
>highway ops
>>
Forward basing aircrafts is a great way to get them wrecked by long range precision guided muntions.
>>
>>65187467
So they are perfectly safe from Russia, i guess?
>>
How many millions of dollars in damage did that dust cloud do to the fan blades

Literally all I can think of is how much cheaper and more durable a non-VTOL aircraft would be in those conditions
>>
>>65187473
I was thinking that sending a Gripen or F-16 or two in first would be a good idea to blow off some of that dust.
>>
>>65187479
Just make a low pass and then go round to land.
>>
>>65186295
But can it take off vertically?
>>
>>65186556
By bombing your faggot third world shithole with Chinese toy weapons to hell
>>
>>65186890
no it's not, the c variant is vtol
>>
>>65188447
you are ignorant.
>>
>>65188447
Let me guess, you asked Grok?
>>
>>65188447
>no it's not, the c variant is vtol
allowing euro-pussies to post here was a mistake

Having other countries buy your weapons helps you fund your own weapons industry and its research as well as creating a dependance on your goods.
>>
>>65186561
Because then other people get to die while using it and we get to find out how it did for free.

There is no section titled "putting your dick on the lips of a teammate that has let the team down is totally normal here in the Russian army, there's nothing gay about it. Of course you westerners would turn it into something gay" in the Geneva convention
>>
>>65186596
To be honest, it's kinda pricey for a street sweeper...
>>
>>65186561
In this case a lot of those other countries both helped develop the aircraft and make a ton of components for it. US gets some of the tab picked up for the project and the influence that comes with having an off-the-shelf product like this as well as making allies more useful, other countries get more domestic industry benefits than if they'd just bought an F-16 or something and a fighter with capabilities they'd struggle to access otherwise, basically everyone at least kinda wins.
I'm sure they'll happily take back the Martin-Baker seats and BAE rear fuselages and EW systems if you have an issue with that though.
>>
>>65186295
>Gripensisters, how are we going to spin this?
It's a gen ahead, what is there to spin?
>>
>>65186746
>4th gen
>Landing
Lol
>>
>>65186778
you have to have people man the FARP and supplies there and that's who the drones will eat. perhaps they will eat the planes on the ground too?
>>
>>65186561
>let
My dude the US practically forced F35s on "customers". The last thing the US wants is European manufacturing, it's much easier to shit up the rest of the world than improve things at home.
>>
>>65191823
>the US practically forced F35s on "customers"
Have you considered that, just maybe, the F-35 won bids by simply being the most capable platform on offer?
>>
>>65186778
It's no longer the 1980s Cold War, gramps. The much vaunted VTOL ability of Harriers were rarely used other than for routine landings on carriers. They almost always take off and land conventionally if situation allows it. Landing in "forward" roads like this is suicide in 2026 due to marauding drones. You'll have to setup AD around the perimeter, lookouts, camo etc. Might as well land it at a proper base.
>>
>an aircraft capable of vertical landing and takeoff is capable of landing on a road
Implessive tier honestly
>>
>>65186295
>F35B
>B
Its the helicopter version. It still has massive issues with FOBS and requires skilled extensive maintenance.
>>
Are those highways fighter jet rated? Who is footing the bill for excess wear on the pavement? Lockheed Martin? Doubtful.
>>
>>65189133
there are actually prohibitions against raping prisoners and civilians in warfare, but i don't think they considered rape within one's own military as a strategy. Russian 5d chess tovarisch.
>>
>>65189133
Please, shut the FUCK UP, tourist scum.
We all know russians are dumb and gay, you don't need to force it into every damn thread.
You had best be Ukranian or getting paid. If not, you are a fucking pidor too.
>>
>>65186556
Can your drones reach more than a 100km?
>>
>>65186295
Landing on a road ≠ Sustained operations from a road
>>
>>65192651
>Can your drones reach more than a 100km?
Ukraine has pushed FPVs to 1e0km now and mid-strike drones do 200km with 150+kg warheads every day.
