Found this gun collecting rust and dust among old family things. Barrel is sealed, and the parts dont move. The text on the side says its permanently disabled. How do i clean it, and can i get the barrel and slide moving again so i can play with it?

Depends on what they did. If youre lucky they just poured solder down the barrel. If its all locked up it could be rust. It could also be that they filled the whole thing wirh solder or worse welded the internals together. Its also only a 25 acp pistol.
Visually i only see a bit of soder in the front and back. Shouldn't be too hard to get it off

>>65187542ah... no. ive never been there. but i might have a hunch how to go about this.if you were to fix that, start by removing the grips. and you should see a weld between the frame and the magazine. start by grinding it off. even if the magazine gets fucked in the process, attempt to save the frame. then remove the magazine using pliers and grind off any remaining weld. after that look up how to dismantle the gun. if you're lucky you can just break the welds with force, because the welds tend to be much more fragile than the heat treated metals its clumped on. anyway, start with the magazine and then have a look inside the gun because you never know with these things. the slide has probably been welded onto the frame from within the magazine well. i mean you could drill or grind it off. but like i said the metals are often very badly welded, which means you can break them loose with force. anyway, then onto the barrel. lets assume you can disassemble the gun and you get the barrel off. most of the old non-standard deacts of this type have their barrels filled with lead. lucky you. because you can just heat up the barrel and the lead will fall out. if that's not the case then.. uhhh i don't know, buy a separate DEACT barrel and install it on the device. and of course, then you would obviously take this piece to your local gunsmith to have it properly deactivated.
