Just bought a used T2 and 3x mag with larue mounts for just $1k, seller is from leafland. How do I know I didn't get fucked if this guy sold me a fake T2.
>>65189018Canadians never lie.>t. Canadian
>>65189018Why the fuck would you pay $1k for that beat up junk? I hope he scammed you.

>>65188929I am once again asking for opinions on the DD RIS III 14.5” CHF GOV’T PROFILE BBL WITH MIDLENGTH GAS SYSTEM UPPER RECEIVER GROUP that I recently bought from Brownells for $675. Keep or not?
>>65189035It's a great upper for the money.
>>65189035Uh what’s there to say really? Really well made barrel, great rail though a bit heavier than most mlok, and a nice gas length. For a good price too, you hit the jackpot man
here's my first AR build, URG-EI™. Wanted to do some cheapie hoodrat shit with an FRT AR pistol so I bought a bare-bones Radical 7.5" (made in Texas) 5.56 model and put weirdo parts in it.

>>65189039>>65189044>>65189093Thanks bros. I currently have a block 1 M4A1 upper but was looking for a free float mlok when Mrgunsgear posted the link. I think I would regret it if I sent it back given the deal. Maybe they had overstock? Idk but the upper looks perfect and I don’t think it’s a blem.
>>65189106I mean why would you send it back? Seems like a flat upgrade to me

>>65189118Daniel Defense makes excellent products. Everyone knows that so everyone buys them. You will be one of 1,000,000 people with a solid well made DD upper. A tastefully done Block 1 however is... the right amount of personality in a gun. Move the Surefire and T2 to your new upper, acquire PRO or ACOG for the old one. Live in bliss there after.
>>65189124Whats an upper that’ll make you standout ever so slightly, have personality, yet have all of the modern accoutrements and quality to match?
>>65189110Just overthinking cuz of OCD I guess. It’s definitely an upgrade over the block 1.>>65189117Thank you brother. I’ll keep the Block 1 upper though and eventually get another lower for it. It’s got a cage code marked socom barrel so it’s worth keeping.

>>65189131Any upper with natural wear will have a touch of your particular tism. Something built around thousands of rounds fired suggests bespoke taste. A2 Grip rocks a fucking Remington 416 hand guard.Hop likes ALG handguards because he shoots enough to like them, and the rest of the gun falls in place. ALG handguards are not generally.... well respected. We are so far past talking about material qualities and off in la-la-land of personal touch that its a stylistic choice that comes from pragmatic experience that just makes things mesh well and speaks to lived experiences. The DD upper is objectively a good choice. I was taking a shot at the other anon because Block 1 uppers speak to a certain crowd, myself included.Just go shoot a lot and the vibes will hit. >>65189018Price seems about right. The old Aimpoint 3x mag is kind of a piece of shit. Durable and does its job, but it's not at the top of the dog pile for image quality or eye relief. I can imagine PA, Vortex, etc. have produced a better magnifier at significantly less cost.

>>65189805Mike says 2.
In the new world of infantry running alternate ammo, gruntslop like redi mags or jungle taping may be more useful for larping.
The new age of warfare every bullet is a little drone you shoot and your drones fight the other drones midair and it looks siiick and honestly everyone has a good time. Handheld, rig mounted EM fields make all the early 21st century gizmos obsolete like dune but guns. Everything else but infantry is meaningless. Everyone is shooting little mini drones all the time.
I don't get it. The G33 magnifier has been the only approved magnifier in this general for nearly a decade and people still come here talking that BS about PA, Vortex, etc. It's pissing me off.

>>65189805Hey how is that place? I've been looking into it but I feel like I can just keep going innawoods. The membership to use that 1000yd range is cheap to me but I've heard the hours/days arent the best at the facility, staff can be fuddy, and you have to submoa qual with every rifle, also providing load data and a ballistics card? (Which yes is easy enough but I'd rather just pay the monthly and come when I'd like rather than first getting an appointment with hoss on a windy day saying "oh sonny, maybe next time, that there MOA was 1.1)You tell me though, just thinking outloud here

>>65190032Agreed, boy I wish there was mandatory 2 year service or something so people werent so fucking retard about firearms in this country
>>65190051Unfortunately some of the worst retards are the ones who use their military service to claim to be experts, but then they have only shot their rifles during qual or basic (if they even did).
>>65190051You think that would make people *less* retarded? They would be equally retarded and twice as obstinate.
If I see a trash ass radical arms AR covered in amazon parts and iwi furniture sitting on a bench at the range I can blindly say a vet owns that rifle and I will be right 80% of the time.
>>65190051>so people werent so fucking retard about firearms in this countrythat is 100% the parent's responsibility, like many things. asking the government to do everything is why we're living in clown world. you as an individual and as a citizen need to spread those values
>>65190051Doesn't work. At best you get patriotism. You don't get a competent citizenry though. >>65190103This
>>65190014PFAS doesnt mess you up like how the schizo was claiming. Mental illness often pops up in men in their 30s/40s.
>>65190065You are not wrong, I have seen very poor understanding of the fundamentals with POG units before, but I blame the NCOs for not harping on weapons PMI and the Army cheaping out with the EST. Waste of time and a headache of a system. But I posit that if everyone went through some time handiling a rifle then they'd be more likely to sniff "expert" bullshit being sold to them. Just a hunch, it'll never be a reality anyway. >>65190070I could see that, but if everyone learned the same shit, I would imagine a decrease in the fuddy "listen hear you dont know squat sonny." Granted, there would still be combat arms guys in the post-service gun space talking down to POGs saying "oh you guys barely used them."But hey, I'd rather live in that world than the current mixture of anti-2A, "knowledgable" fudds who havent kept up with technology and culture, and funkopop guns>>65190103Yes, I overwhelming agree. My thought with the mandatory service is that hypothetically it would create a baseline and culture entirely different than our current. But yes in our reality its up to parent's to foster those good values.
>>65190137Idk anon I'm pretty well versed in the cultures of a couple different compulsory military service countries and that really doesn't do much to ingratiate military or firearms literacy into their wider countries. If anything it reduces the social investment in the military often seen as like community college years for most guys in those three cultures I'm familiar with. The quality of your military becomes more varied too.
>>65189937I found that place like 7 years ago, had been shooting on a 20 acre farm all to myself. Believe me when I say membership is fully worth it. Nothing innawoods will compare to the wide variety and number of ranges they have esp when you consider all the steel they set out. The fudd shit drives me crazy and I'm biased bc I don't have to deal with most of it. Can't talk too much about why, but I sympathize with the people who do. Few years back I was able to bump the qual up to 2 MOA and got dot + magnifiers allowed on the 500y range (sadly the 2 MOA part didn't last). Management just started to stabilize and I'm hoping to steer things back towards the light. I hate(d) how prohibitive the long range requirements were but they have a chrono they'll loan out so you can build DOPE, and I feel pretty confident Jack and Sam would take your proverbial '1.1 MOA + wind.' Those dudes shoot and actually get itAnother solution is to attend the private monthly sessions another company runs there at night. Totally deletes the fudd RSO aspect but they're only just starting to work the 1000y range into it, and usually at least half the session is at night for NV reasons.>>65189832Waxed. Seemed like the most versatile size? >Copy pasting hohol tacticsI refinanced my house to afford all these e-tools, ditched water + med so they'd fit on my kit....and you chose now to tell me we're not digging all the trenches >>65189809>>65189814Agreed. Alternate ammo mgmt is always interesting. 2 mags down is tough, thinking a couple 20 rounders tucked wherever they can fit could work? Hopefully avoid bumping mags with ball/OTM ammo out of pouches. 40 rounders also seem well suited for counter-drone work....
So, I got my package from Breaking Gear Surplus:>https://www.instagram.com/breakinggearsurplus/I was under the impression I was ordering this>https://solutions.forgelinefieldwear.com/products/wind-shell-jacket-success?variant=44390883197097But I got the lost arrow version instead, I’m pretty sure they’re exactly the same but he did advertise it was forgeline.Other than that good comms and fast shipping he is legit but I think he just made a mistake for the post thinking it was forgeline however he deletes posts after they’re sold and I’m pretty sure I remember a photo of the tag which said forgeline
