How common actually is it for US servicemen to serve in Syria? I thought it was only something super elite glowie troops did but if you ask around quite a few people seem to have served there.
>I thought it was only something super elite glowie troops didHave you tried not taking everything Russia says at face value? I know that they were the only party really eager to talk about Syria, but that doesn't make them any more reliable.
Semi common. There's been a perpetual force fluctuating between 1000 and 3000 there for over a decade, and they rotate out every 6-9 months. Maybe 1 in 40? But NG have deployed there too, so that would dilute the number significantly, no idea how many of them were there.
It's not an unheard-of deployment. Dudes get on rotation there every so often. It's not safe. Shit happens there sometimes. But it's not a big damn secret.OP, the fact you're asking this question means you have a brain to ask it. I encourage you to do more research.

Those super elite guys need a bunch of support guys to operate there. Bullets don't fly without supply.
