Why not just pre-calculate the dosages?
>>65198796Why is the criminal section included in the screenshot? Are you trying to encourage criminal behavior?
>>65198796Where's the fun in that?
>>65198796>NVA men hit with lower doses retaliated and had to be shot, and NVA men who had been darted with higher doses died from overdose The original source says:>The SOG men were compelled to gun down the NVA hit by darts or watch helplessly as they died from the anesthetic.
>>65198796Sure, I'll just ask the fucking wizard who can do that without even seeing the guy they're dosing.
>>65198796You know how it's said "it's not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop at the end"? Anesthesiologists make fat stacks because making sure that people wake up again is the tricky part.
>>65198796Aside from body mass, there's a high chance that the target is on fent, meth or both, and it's hard to accurately guess what dose and what combination he's on when he's running at you with a knife.
>>65198796Because a person's weighta) can be difficult to estimateb) doesn't stay constantNot to mention the possible interactions with other drugs and medications. Oops, the guy you tried to snatch lost 10kg in the field and had a buddy smuggle him a beer earlier this evening, and now he's violently overdosing
>>65198796It says it right in your pic. Dosage differs by weight so a tranquilizer for one person might be a death sentence for someone else.
>>65198796It's very hard to pre-calcuate the dose because there's a very fine line between being quick-acting enough to be effective yet not lethal. On top of that you probably don't know the target's body mass or if they have any tolerance to the drug in question. People who are hardcore opiate addicts can barely feel a dose that would be lethal many times over to a normal person.
>>65198796It'd be total bullshit but a smart tranquilizer rifle that somehow scans it's target and tailors it's dose accordingly would be some cool cyberpunk shit
>>65198796It may legitimately be possible with something like ketamine that has much less of a respiratory depressive effect.
>>65198796in addition to all that has been said, even in surgery, in optimum conditions, it takes an average of 5 seconds to KO the patienthence even if you achieve perfect delivery, the guy you shot has about five seconds to yell FUCK I'VE BEEN SHOT RED ALERT GLOWIES IN THE WIRE
>>65199506>running at you with a knifeThis assumes that tranquilizer-carrying police wouldn’t be allowed to carry firearms. I assume they would, simply because it’s already a well-known fact that tranquilizers aren’t appropriate for every scenario. Taser-carrying police are allowed to carry firearms, so why wouldn’t tranquilizer-carrying police be allowed to?
>>65199577These inherently meter out the proper dosage of Pb and KE at distances < 10m, lol.
>>65198993Inferring
>>65198796It's extremely weight dependent. Also a dose that provides near instant incapacitation while likely need an antidote administered, or at least CPR or an Ambu bag.It seems odd they didn't think of the latter.
>>65198796Why use tranquilizer lmao. Use PAVA, use pain to incapacitate. Pepper spray and pepper balls use this exact principle, a dart is just a better way to inflict it on the target.A blowgun is enough to get a sharp dart through even leather jacket and skin, a CO2 rifle could be accurate at a relatively long range, though the projectile is subsonic.
>>65202173Because it doesn’t work. If it did, wildlife conservationists would be using empty darts to incapacitate animals.
