So anything with wheels attached will, at some point, either have a gun, armor, or both attached, right? Toyota pickups with guns or more in the back are ubiquitous, bulldozers get fat armor attached either 'officially' or in one guy's shed, personnel carriers get gunslits and V-shaped hulls and so on, or that one story about the matte black Camaro I mostly forgot the context of. What are the weirdest armed OR armored things someone's fielded? City bus? Fire truck? Preferably fielded as in "someone actually funded and planned this and wrote a field manual for it," not "some guys in the shop got bored and welded 6 M2 mounts onto the roof."

Azov back in the day had an orange garbage truck with a .50 on it as an APC.

Didn't South Africa or Rhodesia install internal armour plating and fireports in a bunch of civvie dump trucks back in the day so they could roll up to insurgent positions without tipping them off until the moment they started sweeping?

Pic unrel but I like it

Looks like it would be pretty survivable against mines, plenty of distance between the wheels and hull.

1) Sharpen the three edges of each steel swamp buggy tire-paddle. 2) Somehow throw it out back of C-130, running wide open 3)Onto enemy.
Done!

Beggars cant be choosers, you use what you have. For fuck sake M274 Mules have shit mounted to it, and it literally goes like 15 mph.
That said I want a technical style Crown Vic.

Is it just me or does that thing repurpose the front axle and the rear drivetrain from a VW Bug?

Vic looks surprisingly natural as a ute but like most proposed car based technicals that bed is going to be pretty shallow

I'd love to see those Red Bull Mini Coopers with the can on the roof replaced by a rocket pod.
