This is LITERALLY one of the best guns on the market and it's not even a debate.
>>

Looks like a pretty good car gun
>>
>>65200075
it’s $100 too expensive. You can get a non shit AR-15 for about $400, and I’m not talking about nigger PSA. Now, if you can find one for $200 ish, then yeah it’s worth it.
>>
>>65200079
That's another thing, it's rugged. You can simply toss it in any trunk or atv and not have to worry
>>
>>65200088
A $400 doesn't even come with sights, you are dumb
>>
>>65200075
the only thing i really don't like is how hard it is to clean one. all those screws holding the plastic housing together make it a huge pain to fiddle with.

but they are nice for what they are I agree

Virtually every owner Ive ever talked to said they've put thousands of rounds through it and never cleaned it. (Or cleaned it once and said never again)

>effective caliber

At pistol ranges. It costs about the same as .223 remington fmj and is far less ubiquitous on store shelves if you can't have ammunition shipped to you for whatever reason.

>Reliable

A matter of debate, anecdotally some buyers report perfect functionality out of the box, while just as many others report getting lemons that require extensive break in periods/modifications to run, or just flat out need to be sent back to Hi-Point. Check out Garand Thumbs video on the 995, that's about the experience half the people who by these have.

>Less than $350

That's $50 dollars more than a maverick 88, $50 less than an entry AR, and neither here nor there.

>Sold in most local sports good stores

Like many others options.

>Highly customizable

Hardly.

Not only is it difficult to dissemble, requiring the use of tools, but the front sight must be removed if you want to break the weapon down to clean it, necessitating a re-zero after every time you clean the weapon.

Overall I would consider this weapon far less than Ideal, especially when decent AR-15s aren't much more and a proven shotgun is slightly less. These things are range toys at best.

Makes sense. This isn't the kind of gun that would appeal to responsible individuals. These kind of poorfag guns appeal to the kind of people who don't take care of what they own. Incidentally, that same sort of behavior is why they're poorfags in the first place. It's a self-sustaining cycle.
>>
>>65200075
Can the fuddy five model handle 45 super? I know it handles +p but if it can handle super it might just be kino of the highest order
>>
>>65200075
You can get a Kel-Tec sub2000 for $350 nowadays and that thing takes double stack Glock mags. The mag size is the biggest problem for the hi-point.
>>
>>65200395
The internal slide is made of Zamak pot-metal, so I would err on the side of caution with the pissin' hots
>>
>>65200075
Magazines are still awful and I'm not just talking about the capacity.
At least the .45 can used modified 1911 mags so you can buy less shitty ones.
Still, good to see these are starting to come down into more sane pricing. The further above $250 a hi point goes the less sense it makes
>>
>>65200075
I'd agree with you if it used double stacked magazines
>>
>>65200075
It's breakable, gets brittle in the sun, heats, warps, drifting zero.
What problem doesn't it have really? It's a Jennings Rifle.
>>
>>65200602
i heard a long time ago that the 4095 used the same mag as the 4595, aside from the follower. that being said, I think there was a guy few years back that modified a 1911 drum mag to function in his 4595.
and I will say it again...
a 4595 with a 4095 barrel reamed for .400 cor-bon. it's not impossible.
>>
>>65200503
>The mag size is the biggest problem
very true. I wish hta wouldve been able to make a double stack as they wanted to do.

This gun is unironically the reason i got an mp5. I put a 3inch steel plate into a continuous spin for several magazines at 50yards with this and a cheap ass red dot.
Yea this is literally the only gun hi point makes worth a fuck. Yes its super reliable. Yes no one serious uses it because the magazine capacity is abysmal.
But because of this gun i went out and bought an mp5 the next day because 9mm carbines are HD ez mode.
And it is a good firearm except for the low capacity single stack magazines.
Also you're a literal faggot for cleaning your guns constantly like the preening little status driven bitch you are, nancy.

>>65201807
so wait, that's a cr-21? neat, ive never heard of that. ive always had a fascination with s african guns and this piques my tism.
>>
>>65200198
I did not know there was a bullpup configuration thank you
>>
>>65203387
It's an aftermarket kit and iirc it's more expensive than the gun itself

>>
>>65200075
Could a rifle be made in an intermediate caliber out of similar material? I hear that this and the pistol tend to need hotter loads, and I understand that it would be very heavy and that a different recoil system would need to be used.

there's also the ATI stock. They come with a bar that connects the pistol grip and stock, pic related that bar has been cut off
>>65200075
I have a family member with a 9mm Hipoint and it's fun to shoot. I've looked at the .380 ones a lot since that's what I carry, but the low capacity proprietary mags are major turn-off
