That's...what it's called?
>>
Yeah

I'm all for minimalism, but 6.5# in a 16" in a 6.5 seems hellish. It is obviously intended to have a can and large scope and be shot off a bipod but naked, standing, improvised rest - That would suck.
I just mean rifles like this have a fairly narrow application role.
Also $4k is steep. Is this QC barrel and caliber? Sub MOA guarantee?
>>
>>65200545
>$3200 R700 clones
What's stopping me from building it for some much more less
>>
>>65200545
Quirk Chungus and Glup Shitto were also in the running.
>>
>>65200558
Its a lightweight hunting rifle. The application is to be carried around a lot and fired very little. The fix was better with the old barrel supplier, the stock barrel they use is trash now. With a proof barrel its a very nice light weight rifle. The sig cross is better for the money

>>65200565
If you think this has anything in common with an r700 then you are blind and retarded. Completely different platforms.
>>
>>65200565
This is my favorite way to trigger Q shills. It gets them sperging out every single time. Even the owner of the company melts down about it.
>>
>>65200545
maybe they were really into fallout 76
>>
>>65200596
If I want a lightweight hunting rifle why am I buying a chassis system? I'd rsther a featherweight Kimber or something with a CF wrap barrel.
OP's pic looks like shit for stalking, lots of places to get snagged in flora.
>>
>>65200596
>The gun that goes off on its own is better for the money
I agree, but man that's a damning indictment
>>
>>65200596
you lift the bolt and pull it back, it's not a straight pull. that makes it little to no better than a walmart r700
>>
>>65200644
kek. bodied that sigger
>>
>not a straight pull
>>
>>65200630
Its not a chassis system retard, the fix and the cross are one piece receivers. You buy them for the light weight receiver, the light weight folding stock, the completely freefloated barrel, and a handguard with usable attachment points

Chassis systems are what you use on traditional bolt actions to try to get the performance that is inherent with the one piece receiver.

Btw i think the concept could be done better than sig or Q, but right now they are the only ones doing it
>>
>>65200644
>goes off on its own

A problem from 5 years ago. Not a sig fan but sig and q are the only companies that make a one piece receiver bolt action, and the sig is priced more reasonably.

>>65200646
>every bolt action is the same

Ok bro

>>65200648
>sigger

I hate sig and i laugh at all their failures. But i can recognize the cross is a better value than the fix
>>
>>65200558
Are you like 5'6" or something? 6.5 is very soft shooting, these would be no problem at all clean
>>
>>65200646
Lmao this nigga has never experienced shooting a half MOA group in his life

>Its not a chassis system retard
So for $4k I am stuck with the stock it comes with? Unless I want to hire a smith or get frisky in the garage? Which I shouldn't need to, because I theoretically spent $4k?
Sounds retarded. Just buy Bergara.
>>
>>65200675
You wear ear pro when you hunt?

I use a suppressor

They like to pretend that it is, but it's not.

>>65200565
Nothing; if you know a lot about precision rifles, then you can buy a cheaper one and get a bunch of upgrades for it. The Fix was the first attempt of the market at making a production rifle that comes with all of the upgrades out of the box for noobs and intermediate shooters to save time and spare themselves frustration. Personally, if you already own a good bolty the you don't need something like the Fix, but many people getting into the game now seem to like stuff like the Fix, the SIG Cross, the Christensen Arms MPR, Springfield Armory Redline, Sako 90 Finnlight, Gen 2 Ruger American, etc.
>>
>>65200689
My state doesn't allow it. :(
>>
>>65200709
Getting it as light as they did has a lot to do with the receiver design. Although most people would argue you really don't want a rifle that light anyway
>>
>>65200709
>Sub MOA guarantee?
>They like to pretend that it is, but it's not.
My pre adjTrigger Savage Axis in .243 is sub MOA to almost 300 yards with preferred ammo.
>>
>>65200716
The Fix isn't even particularly light. A 6.5 lbs rifle isn't that uncommon these days. Hell, a Howa Superlite in 6.5 with a 16" barrel only weighs something in the region of 4.5 lbs. The only thing the Fix has going for it is attachment points, the point of which I don't really see on a field gun.
>>
>>65200716
>Although most people would argue you really don't want a rifle that light anyway
That depends on what caliber you are shooting. A 6.5 Creedmoor can be lighter than a .300 WinMag without feeling awful when fired. In general a 6-9 pound rifle is fine if you are shooting .308 or lighter recoiling ammo; if you buy an ultralight rifle and feel like it's too light then you can add accesories to it like a bipod, suppressor, etc. Which is better than getting a rifle that is just the right weight naked but will feel heavy the second you add a scope and a loaded mag to it.

>>65200719
Don't tell Kevin; he'd make a video with a black and white intro blabbing for a while on how you're wrong for not buying his products. LOL
>>
>>65200719
>sub moa to almost 300 yards
>sub moa
>to 300 yards
What is the meaning of this? Moa is not distant dependent unless you're talking about differences in deflection and velocity retention, but that's really cartridge dependent
>>
>>65200767
He specified a catridge, 243
>>
>>65200767
Are you literally retarded?
You think a rifle in 22LR capable of subMOA at 100 yards is then capable of subMOA at 1000 yards?
>>
>>65200545
Yeah. That's what happens when the guy who runs the company is really weird.
>>
>>65200719
.243 is a great round, but in my experience even slight wind upsets it long before it goes transonic.
In that first 300 yards it's a damn laser though.
>>
>>65200673
>I hate sig so I recommend their products at every possible opportunity
Thanks for clarifying that sigger.
>>
>>65200798
He's right, though. Minute of Angle doesn't depend on distance; a 1 MOA gun would (excluding other factors) consistently shoot 1" groups at 100 yards, 2" groups at 200 yards, 3" groups at 300 yards, 4" groups at 400 yards, etc.

https://www.nssf.org/shooting/minute-angle-moa/
>>
>>65200791
But the distance doesn't really have much to do with the rifle, does it? And .243 will maintain velocity out to much further than 300 anyway, which anyone that knows anything about rifle cartridges ought to know. So it really just confuses the matter further
>>
>>65200802
Feels like what would happen if a Millennial went into gun manufacture.

WHAT?
>>
>>65200942
I'm so proud that no one took this bait.
>>
>>65200545
Isn't the gun that sucks twenty thousand cocks to shoot? Or is that another retarded skeletonized bolt action? I can't remember. I just remember some guy shooting one in a review and saying that it feels like shit.
>>
>>65201608
>there's nothing wrong with the pic rail
Heavier and bulkier I guess
>>
>>65201959
It isn't bait, but nobody is wrong per se here. With respect to a rifle, moa is irrespective of distance. With respect to a carteidge, it is but not necessarily in a repeatable way
>>
>>65201959
The quality of /k/ has really fallen; if common knowledge, a basic truth, is now considered bait.
>>
>>65200545
>full size
>actually all short action catridges

Short action rifle is full sized rifle
>>

>>65202603
Brainlet alert. The accuracy of any rifle is not linear with distance.
