My argument with A2 the otherday wasn't the first time I went down the open bolt rabbit hole. Years ago, I learned what the Boomers were referring to (if not unwittingly) when they told you that "cutting the disconnector makes a gun full auto." The firing pin and sear of a TEC-9 reset after the bolt strikes a shutter bar to disconnect the trigger. If you simply cut it short for clearance, the sear will not reset and the firing pin will travel with the bolt (slam fire).
