Is the reason these drones seem difficult to shoot down is because their explosive payloads don't react to bullets and are light on fuel?

No, because life isn't a video game and shooting a small moving target at a significant range is hard, even if it's on the same level as you, let alone when you have to shoot either below or above.
>russia cant replicate ww2 german technologyhow hard is it to take light artilery, add a radar and produce some proximity fuses over the span of 4 years
>Is [...] is
>>65209674Well they're losing hundreds of tubes a day so I'd say pretty hard.
>>65209674The germans didn't field proximity fuses during WW2.They abandoned the program because thry thought making the electronics both rugged enough to be fired from a flak gun and small enough to fit in a shell with a reasonable payload was infeasible.
>>65209642Not Enough DAKKA! The issue wouldn't be a problem if theres enough Dakka.
>>65209695proximity fuse is a ww2 technology, for G-d's sake(may peace be upon him).if the russians cant replicate that i dont know what to say.the ukes dont seem to have problem shooting down drones with machineguns, rifles and missiless with manpads
