Been working on a story about women in an all women army defending their nation from an invasion. This is the equipment they have. I wanted Cold War era tech that might be available to a smaller country. Does /k/ approve?
This is the invader's equipment. It's not as high of quality, but they have larger numbers.
GAY!
>>65220593>Galil AR as an "SMG" u wot m8? At least give them a 9mm bullet hose, like an UZI or even the MP5. Swedish K45 would also suffice and fit the era.Depending on the setting, you may want to look into either the Swedish or Swiss equipment of the era. Finland would also work OK as an inspiration thanks to their eternal anti-Soviet rivalries. Usually ladies get second hand stuff and lighter loads.
>>65220698I think Uzis might be a good fit. Thanks for the suggestions anon.
>>65220593Very kino. Feels south american. We need more of these threads.
>>65220593svd was fairly advanced, even some warsaw pact nations were refused licenses much less a western-ish aligned nation with access to f-5s/cobras/pattons
>>65220593is it set in the real world or a fictional ace combat style one?
>>65220593>>65220607So Chile vs Communist China? Is this the leader of the Chilean Forces?
>>65220593>a storyjust say it's a fucking manga or LN you dweeb
>>65220593It has a lot of rape in it, doesn't it?
>>65221031Futa-on-futa rape, I hope
>>65220998>General Agustina Boobachet
>>65220593>F-5Used to fix those and they’re fucking pieces of shitI very likely fixed that exact one in your picture since we bought all ours back from Switzerland
>>65221169The guy who used go run a Mexican restaurant in my area used to be an F5 pilot in Mexico and said the same. They got to train on F16s in the late 80s which he loved then just kept the F5s for 30 more years. Real thirdie shit.
>>65220593IMO it would be silly to have a rifle and GPMG chambered in one cartridge only to have the DMR be chambered in a slightly different cartridge that are incompatible but look the same if you squint hard enough.>>65221047futa on female rape is also pretty sweet. I'd even settle for male on futa.
>>65220958Thanks anon.>>65220976>>65220998They're fictional countries.>>65221169That's cool. I'd assumed they were pretty reliable and/or easier to maintain and maybe that was why poorer countires used them.>>65221182Maybe they could use Mk-14s or something.
>>65220593Why does this country have a women only army? Depending on your answer it might affect the optimal choices. >CETMEWeight and recoil impulse is not forgiving for women, maybe they can handle it if the army relies heavily on mechanization and armor but that's gonna hurt soldier performance a lot if they expect to be in the field for days or weeks at a time. Go with the Galil or HK33. Not the CETME L because that's a bit too late in the Cold War and has lesser visual resemblance and mechanical similarity to its predecessor. >M60 Probably your best bet, women would probably find it preferable to a MAG or MG3 at least. Maybe the HK21, but I don't know how obtainable those things actually were, or if they could even match the performance of proper GPMGs. >GalilThat might as well be your rifle. Go with the Uzi instead, or MP5 if you want to have a counterpart to your CETME/HK rifle. >F-5Perfectly good but the Mirage III and F1 stand as fitting alternatives if you so choose. >>65221231>Mk-14Fuck no that thing is extremely front heavy. Not good for men, let alone women, and also anachronistic. If you want to go with an M14 derivative, IIRC the M21 is the same weight but better balanced. A better option would be the Galatz if you want to keep the Galil, or the CETME/G3 with a scope mount. Zastava M77 if you still want an eastern design but in .308 and also realistically obtainable.
>>65220593Their weapons seem pretty heavy and bulky for wamen. The Galil isn't a SMG and would fit better as a service rifle. If you really want a battle rifle for that role then that is a kino choice, I'd also consider the HK33 or 53 for a similar look but with an intermediate cartridge. For SMGs I'd go with an Uzi or maybe a MAT-49. I like the M60 a lot so it gets a pass (Stoner 63 gets an honorable mention because I think it looks really cool, pic related). Not really a vehicle nerd so I can't talk about the rest of your picture but the IFV here seems a bit too modern. I also think the Alouette II or III would fit nicely as a light helicopter.>>65221231The Mk14 is a 2000's rifle, M21 would fit better. PSG1/MSG90 would also be good picks.
>>65220593>battle rifleNot even a good choice for men, the fact that you have a 5.56mm carbine available for the SMG role is insipid when it should be in the rifle role.SVD in the DMR role is really not great, and doesn't fit in well with the other western aligned weapons, this is where you could excuse a nominally accurized G3 with a scope.>>65221019Cry.>>65221310HK33 would be a workable substitute. Plus, 40rd magazines.
>>65221327>For SMGs I'd go with an Uzi or maybe a MAT-49Come on anon. You know the Uzi is the clear choice here. The MAT-49 is neat but the Uzi just mogs it in terms of both style and historical usage. Just looked it up, per wikipedia ~100k MAT-49s were ever made, vs over 2 million uzis
>>65221413Well, I was going to say Uzi or MP5, but I think they're pretty boring choices so I threw the MAT in there as a more "unique" SMG. But now that I think about it I would have suggested the Walther MPK instead.
>>65220593Good choices all around. I like the AH-1 with the 20 mil. Looks to be a very rugged army. That Dragunov feels a little bit out of place considering this is more of a western army but that's okay Dragunovs are the coolest.>>65220607It would actually be better if they had superior equipment and manage to defeat them with tactics in my opinion. It makes for more interesting stories

Isn't that what copelord's book is about? Is this a copelord stealth thread?
Post hairline, OP
>>65220607I'd change the enemy artillery to a ww2 katyusha, the system still saw use during the cold war.Plus you could show the enemy using it against civilian cities, to portray the enemy as total evil bastards in the story.
>>65221310>>65221327I could see them using an M21. I saw that Portugal used HK21s in their African wars, so they must have been exported some. Some people are saying M60 is a good choice, but others saying it's too heavy.>>65221439'Rugged' is the look I was going for. Not very developed country so lots of dirt roads. And kind of isolated. Still getting foreign gear delivered though.>>65221362Ngl I just like Cold War era battle rifles and wasn't too keen on intermediate assault rifle/carbine for the main weapon. But perhaps it's not the best choice in this case.>>65221976I can look around some more. For their uniforms and gear was looking for cross between practical and feminine in appearance.
>>65220593>DMR in a different caliber than battle rifle and GPMGoof
>>65222406>was looking for cross between practical and feminine in appearanceEver seen a female backpacker?>>65222406>I just like Cold War era battle rifles and wasn't too keen on intermediate assault rifle/carbine for the main weapon. But perhaps it's not the best choice in this caseThe bongs decided, rightly, that a full auto 7.62 rifle is too uncontrollable for even a man to shoot accurately. Female soldiers who've tried it just couldn't manage it at all. Find the lightest possible 5.56, that's realistically it.Also expect your women to be capable of carrying no more than what Rhodie Fireforce did. To this day in all armies worldwide basically men carry their packs for them.
>>65222406>I saw that Portugal used HK21s in their African wars, so they must have been exported some.Yeah, it was exported quite a bit all over the world. It's a pretty good pick for your setting and it is relatively light.>Some people are saying M60 is a good choice, but others saying it's too heavy. It's a good choice for the aesthetics, but yeah it is quite heavy even for a GPMG (I think). Also I would suggest the FNC for your rifle, but honestly that's just because I would probably fuck one.
This is what their equipment would look like if I were to go with popular /k/ suggestions and keeping a similar aesthetic. Lighter small arms, a better rucksack, and an IFV with an autocannon.>>65222404I like this idea.>>65222623I looked up the FNC and it's kino. Definitely worth considering.
>>65221031And weaponized periods
If this isn't full of female-on-male rape what's the point?
>>65222816Female on male handh*lding
>>65222739Women keeping any of those vehicles afloat is fiction. In my mind this would be more of a guerilla resistance or underdog story from what you've been saying.Replace all of those with toyota tacoma's and you've almost got an idea.
>>65222739Bretty gud, looks like a solid 60's-70's western aligned military.
>>65220593>All woman armyWonder what that would be like.
