And the chinese filters that are sold online useable on cold war era soviet gas masksmasks aren't 100% standardized, even with the standards, so masks you wouldn't expect and contrary to labeling will fit filters they really shouldn't. you may or may not be getting a proper seal on that filter, so the best course of action is to buy a mask with its issue filters or made by the same manufacturer as the mask. i would not trust any chinese filter to be less hazardous than anything i might be protecting against.

>>65223040You can check if the mask is any good by putting some trithioacetone in a small crucible and heating it up with a propane torch. Thioacetone isn't particularly toxic but you'll know very quickly if your mask has any leaks.
