If anyone has a 6.5 inch 500 I'm curious how it compares to the longer barreled offerings. I like the look of the 6.5 inch the best but I'll happily pay someone to hackjob an 8 incher if the 6.5 is unbearably painful. Ultimately I'd like to end up with a glossly black, ported (and or comped, plugged 500 sans full underlug.I'll also be checking out the new Eotech and the Pureview when they become available.

It's a lot of money for a just-because kind of gun, but it might climb in value even more in the future.

The trigger is great and they are made well above the standard quality you normally see with Turk guns. Not quite H&K of course, but way better than anything I have seen in the $200-300 range.

>>65225625I’m GLAD you asked. Just picked up a new revolver the other day. Stopped by an old gun shop I haven’t been to in years. Owner always has a good selection of interesting old classic guns. Found a 1973 Ruger Security in great condition for $600. Thought the price was a bit steep but I’ve always wanted a classic revolver like it and figured the chance wouldn’t come up again. Turns out it’s somewhat rare due to the fixed rear sights. Plus it came with a holster! So there’s a solid chance this was a California law enforcement officer’s gun.
