How would /k/ rearm a flying AH-1S?
>>65225808>AirworthyIf it was airworthy and not a multi-million dollar money sink the guy wouldn't be selling it
>>65225808Here's my idea.>brass cannons on the hardpoints loaded with type of ammunition as mission requires>c96 volley death machine on front for anti-drone/AA capabilitythen since it's the 21st century I figure we shove as many drones into the cargo space as possible. these are also armed with broomhandles to kill threats on ground. oh ignore the cannon carriages in picrel this is only for illustrative purposes
>>65225808Cheap if you put a bunch of Ruger 10/22s with FRTs on it
>>65225833Allegedly it was stored by the Army then sold to the Jews who used it till a few years ago and it made its way back into private hands. If true, there is probably still residual Jew magic in the airframe which will keep it aloft for some time. So long as you make the necessary blood sacrifices.>>65225837In case any other anon wants to decide their own cobra here's a clean pic
>>65225867Nah, anything remotely military related was stripped out. And I'm sure quite a few other things were stripped out to help hide whatever the Israeli's put into it as well. The guys selling it because he thought he could get it to fly but realized far too late and after far too much money that he probably still needs to spend 1 million or more on it.
>>65225808Serious answer: if I owned a company that worked at airshows I'd buy one and get it rigged to shoot flares and other pyrotechnics. I don't know who would pilot it but if there were a way to have accumulated hours on this specific Cobra count toward hours in any Cobra, maybe you could get Reservists to fly it for cheap? Win/win
>>65225906A quick google search says that the AH-1S entered production in 1978 and is basically an upengined AH-1Q. Which was basically an anti-tank variant of the AH-1G. So you're essentially flying the OG Cobra, but with a better engine
>>65225889>hide whatever the Israeli's put intolet's cool it with the antisemitism >realized far too late and after far too much money that he probably still needs to spend 1 million or moresecond if that's the case, and it seems possible since he got his blades did but stopped, you can negotiate the Cool Factor part of the price downlisting>barnstormers DOT cum / classified-2039132-AH-1S-Cobra-Helicopter.html>>65225906is there anything to stop you from hiring the reservists to teach you to pilot it yourself? civilians pilot black hawks, get insured, inspected, etc. start your own airshow.
>>65225808How would you maintain it? Obviously the parts aren't available on the civilian market.
>>65225959>stop you from hiring the reservists to teach you to pilot it yourself? civilians pilot black hawksHow's it going HeavyD?
>>65225808Replace the rocket pods with t-shirt launchers loaded with custom shirts that say I got caught in a strafing run and all I got was this lousy shirt.
build some of these out of plumbing supplies and load them with muhfuggin bootleg fireworks
>>65226148now now that's too much fun anon
>>65226148give this man moneyall of the money
>>65225959>second if that's the caseBecause that is the case. It's always the case with these decades old de-militarized airframes>you can negotiateNo, the listing literally says he won't budge on the 2.1 million dollar asking price
>>65225808>no tire kickersWell, obviously. It has skids, not tires. Silly boomer.
>>65225906> a way to have accumulated hours on this specific Cobra count toward hours in any CobraGenerally speaking, military flight hours are recognized by the FAA*. And while I don’t know exactly what constitutes a large enough difference between two models to require two different type ratings, I imagine there’s not enough of a difference between the various Cobra models to warrant multiple ratings. Hell, it’s based on the UH-1, so it might be covered under a Huey rating.*-Fun fact, the FAA has an established rating for tiltrotor aircraft. But until recently, the only way to get that endorsement is to have been either a military Osprey pilot, or a test pilot for Bell or AW.
>>65226328>No, the listing literally says he won't budge on the 2.1 million dollar asking priceHe knows what he's got.
>>65225808>~2000 kilos of payload weightjust yeet 2 ton boulders from a chain with it
>>65226454...so only dead people. That's not a very fun rating.
>>65226502Could be worse. You could be going after your flight navigator license. Which is straight up impossible to get now.
Does Michael Dorn have his fixed wing license? It'd be cool to see Worf flying a Cobra.

>>65226938This was made by that same doctor professor minister that makes the power armor, yes?
>>65226938my favorite part about this every time it gets posted is the rocket pod aimed directly at the back of the piliot's head
>>65227244It protects you from ninjas sneaking up from behind mid flight.
>>65227244My favorite part is the Hot Wheels wheels.
>>65226938Superior engineering

>>65225906Red Bull has one they fly at airshows.
>>65231747What's their chin gun?
>>65231878Red Bull dispenser. Hooked up to an internal fridge with a 500 can capacity.
