>First pictures of the Su-34ME in Algeria

Russia exporting Su-35 / Su- 57 and now Su-34 to Algeria

while modernizing the Algerian Su-30 and preparing to sell some Su-75, all in the middle of a war is pretty hilarious.
>>
>preparing to sell some Su-75
Nigga, this plane doesn't even exist in a prototype stage

news from yesterday:
>TASS report is significant because it confirms that work on Checkmate has entered the construction stage of an opytny obrazets, or experimental prototype

Outside of the singular incident of a SU-57 being spotted in Algeria. What other evidence is there that Russia sold the less than 20 built production aircraft to a foreign buyer?
>>
>>65226137
Surprised RuAF is still messing with the Su-75, just focus on the Su-57 use the Yak-130 for the low mix
>>
>>65226361
the Su-75 is supposed to be much cheaper than the Su-57, like a budget alternative, good for export
>>
>>65226123
And? who cares exactly. Like ALL muslim countries (with either western or russian equipment) are built entirely on the function of mass killing of the native population in case of a revolt. When Russia inevitably collapses they will just be stuck with a bunch of useless scrap and have to suck up to the Americans to even get a chance at upgrading/maintaining their airforce like the Ukrainians. Getting into long term contracts with vatniks is so so misguided and stupid
>>
>>65226368
It's better than the Su-57 in reality. the 57 is absurdly expensive for what it is when the 75 looks like it has an actual chance at being stealthy. The 57 is a catastrophic failure. Maybe don't invade your neighbor if you want to develop your weapons in peace and have the time and money

>>
>>65227660
They're russian state media but at the same time they're the only ones that are in the know about ongoing projects like the Su-75, since it's state secrets.
>>
>>65227660
All Russian media is
TASS has good shit though and is a cunt hair less regulated than RT
They were the first to report Moskva being hit, and first to report it sank, which was quickly deleted (I only found the report because I was searching for the news, and when I went to archive the report it had gone)
>>
>>65226123
They're also offering sales of tanks
They need the cash more than they need combat jets and tanks in Ukraine
Either to stay afloat or to buy more missiles with
>>
>>65227740
they don't make tanks. They haven't produced a single new hull in years. It's all the same T-72 slop turned into a "T-90" It would be borderline suicidal to cough up tanks in this scenario. I don't think any country is ever gonna buy russian tanks in the near future even the most diehard russian equipment guzzlers won't do it.
>>
>>65227656
Hopefully, it looks like pure sex
>>
>>65227740
I have hunch that they're making some insanely long running theoretical deals where the stuff is supposedly produced years after the war, with the assumption that their arms industry and economy will survive, to keep arms deals locked in. At this rate none of these deals will happen because russian economy can't stand this destruction forever.
>>
>>65227909
thats exactly whats happening not a chance they'll be able to build anything they are promising
>>
>>65226137
That's the point, they've started work to make at least an experimental prototype. At the very least they'll have the plane developed in like 10 years. Then it will take them another 10 to put it into actual production.
>>
>>65227656
>>65227875
It's so small. Will it even have IWB space?
>>
>>65227810
>They haven't produced a single new hull in years
do we have any proof of this, other than (you) think so?

>>65227909
nobody knows because nobody dares to take them up on the offer
bearing in mind already that they have apparently taken over maybe a company or so of T90S intended for India
>>
>>65230338
Do we know if the captured T-90S got sent in for evaluation?
>>
>>65230343
don't know, but somebody somewhere claims the late-war T90s have dropped some parts of the fire control system (the laser rangefinder? I forget) as an economy measure, and of course it's now using Russian systems instead of Thales
>>
>>65227656
Do you have DCS World?
>>
>>65227909
A reminder that Algeria has an outstanding order for fucking 300 BMPT terminators, which would make them the biggest operator of the type by an absurd margin.
Currently they have low double digits of the things, 23 or so.
Algeria is a huge whale for the russian defense industry and essentially their only reliable high roller left as India drifts away.
>>
>>65231445
>fucking 300 BMPT terminators
Why
>>
>>65231445
Algeria's military spending:

2022: 9B
2023: 18B
2024: 21B
2025: 25B

the target is 35-40 billions by 2027-2028, mostly used to get Russian/Chinese gear.
>>
>>65231486
>>65231445
this overmilitarization makes more sense when you read history, the city of Algiers in 1625 had 30,000 people but the biggest navy in the western mediterean by far, with a fleet of 120 ships.
https://www.persee.fr/doc/remmm_0035-1474_1985_num_39_1_2070

France in 1625 had 17 warships with a population that's 1,000 time bigger: https://academic.oup.com/histres/article-pdf/96/273/318/50962526/htad005.pdf
>>
>>65231445
2nd largest pantsir operator too, well maybe largest these days depending on the state of Russia's stock
108, not sure if that's ordered or in inventory.
3rd, likely now 2nd largest T-90 operator on top of that.
The list goes on
>>
>>65231542
980 Fuchs 2 as well, there is a factory line producing them.

Yeah I saw that.
Weird stuff.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_equipment_of_the_Algerian_Land_Forces
They also went for that tiger with a kornet quad launcher on it in a big way.
Only operator other than the russians, not even a "2 in Kazakhstan" situation like the terminator
>>
>>65231565
>Only operator other than the russians

this is the case for the S-350, Kronstadt Orion, Su-57, Su-34, Zoopark-1 counter-battery radar, Murmansk-BN EW etc.
China also exported exclusively to Algeria the land version of the YJ-12 (CM-302), the WJ-700 UAV, the Adhafer-class corvette, CEW-03A EW.

Really? That's better than expected of them. They must've had more autonomy back then.

You can sort of report losses again as long as you frame it as no big deal

One ship for every 250 people. Including children, women and the elderly. They couldn't even man them all. Awesome.

They're really smitten with the concept.
They even have their own terminator at home, berezhok turrets on T-62 hulls.
Might be a better idea than the actual terminator considering it deletes the dubiously useful 2nd gun and isn't an abject waste of a T-72 hull while also allowing them to phase out 115mm
>>
>>65231862
Do we know if it wobbles like the Terminator? Or do Algerians understand the concept of properly torqueing their military hardware?

Given it's one gun and basically a dolled up T-72 turret it should be better. Not good by civilized standards since BMP-2 dispersion is pretty bad on it's own but certainly better unless someone badly fucked up along the way.
