So they are lost tech in Russian hands and the DPRK seems to be using the base technology to do things that i am quite sure the original designers would be amazed and proud of. I am not trying to argue if T-62 based designs are viable in the modern era or if they are even a good idea. What i am asking is if the DPRK are the masters of the T-62 design compared to their only rival which is obviously Russia. It seems to me that the DPRK has invested alot of effort into the T-62 platform and they seem to be doing exactly what the original designers intended for the design. I think the USSR made a major mistake in handing the DPRK the exclusive tech to make them. .

I'm asking if what the DPRK has done with the T-62 design would be amazing to the original designers of the T-62 compared to the current state of Russian tank design.I would like to remind you that the DPRK has proven itself capable of making at least three functional new tank designs in the last 3 decades while Russia has not.

>>65229799I dunno, to me at least the T-62 never suffered the embarrassing defeats like the T-55 getting mogged by WWII tanks and molotovs to the result the USSR effectively retired it from frontline service the same decade it was introduced, or the T-72's many failures in the Middle East.
>>65229848North Korea came out the other side of COVID cleaner than a lot of Asian economies. They went from pariah to global arms exporter. Russia is now dependent on them. Bizzaro world compared to 20 years ago.
