False flag thread

Last night I was watching a video about the first month of the conflict and now I’m sad that we never got to see a full on naval battle between the Argies and the Bong’s, if it weren’t for the Belgrano getting raped we could of had our first flattop v flattop since WW2

Why were the Welsh Guardsmen so lazy anyway? It was just a little walk across an island.

It's funny how irrelevant UK is now tho. France could probably sink all their ships and planes. The turns have tabled
>>

>France could probably sink all their ships and planes.
Yeah, all 2 of Britains active surface vessels
>>
>>65232675
>now
Are you fucking stupid and thought the UK in 1982 was some sort of major superpower with an enormous Navy? They literally had to repurpose a cargo ship as a McGyver Ghetto engineered aircraft carrier to supplement the fleet during the conflict

In that war they did what no country on earth, other than the US, could do.

Funny thing is that the Thatcher government was in the process of handing off the Falklands to the Argies because it was too expensive to maintain a garrison there. The Falklanders refused but the British government could have just starved them out by cutting funding. Had the Argies waited a few more years, they would have gotten the islands for free. Now it is impossible.
>>
>>65233270
it gets even better
>the EEZ of the island has by now been prospected and surveyed for resources
>>
>>65232246
Iran iraq was way more kino. Or desert storm. Falklands was pretty gay except for the raid on San carlos which admittedly was pretty based, shame about the fuses.
>>
>>65232246
The sinking of the Belgrano was a good thing for Argentina since it stop the navy dead on it's tracks and force it to return to port instead of having a massive naval defeat. Leyte Gulf tier defeat.
>>
>>65233361
Agree with it saving the Argentine Navy but I think the fight would've cost the British the islands short term imo. The US would have had to get involved afterwards.
>>
>>65232863
Fighting a war hundreds of km of ocean water from home and winning with minor casualties.
Granted, if the Argentinians had a modicum of competence the British would have been curbstomped, but overcoming the logistical hurdle was an impressive archievement for a non-super power

Its pretty regular that some fag appears and makes a falklands thread for no obvious reason, wouldn't be surprised if it all turned out to be an autistic samefag.
Modern 4chan is mostly just such wastes of flesh spamming boards with the same threads, some sort of mentally ill ritual posting.

Argentina had almost 10.000 men, if no more, they surrender after loosing around 250. Battle of Singapore tier defeat. The Argentine generals didn't want to fight, they thought the UK wont send the task force.

And the bongs are?
>W-well they can just take over another cruise liner
And the argies can sink it. They got lucky the last time. Now they have to worry about exploding jet skis.
>>
>>65232246
It was kinda shit.
Argies kept their best in reserve back home because they were worried their neighbors would do something stupid and England couldn't be fucked to deal with them and send fresh conscripts to hold the land.
They did some wild shit with their air power, but that was limited from the start and couldn't carry a fight on its own.
Even at the last hurdle, the Argentine commander refused to order his men to fight to the end over the port town and just threw the towel in.
The SAS did some cool stuff but that's just kinda to be expected.
The Argentine navy also had a pretty pathetic showing, rolling near the edge of the exclusion zone, getting sunk, and crying that the English did exactly what they said they were going to do before fucking off back to Argentina.

The whole thing was basically a bluff based around the idea that the then English administration wouldn't do shit, then they did, and Argentina tried desperately to put up a real fight it wasn't prepared to deal with, then lost.
>>
>>65235632
>And the bongs are?
Still has nuclear submarines that Argentina has no counter for, only this time they have Tomahawks as well.
>Now they have to worry about exploding jet skis.
Eh the South Atlantic seems a lot more hostile terrain for USV’s compared to the Black Sea and Persian Gulf, maybe they’d be of use in the shallows of the islands themselves but out in the open water I don’t see them being able to get the RN.
>>
So how long is he going to keep bumping this thread to keep it from page 10.

Argentinian here, no its fucking not lmao, specially not in the center of London where its full of Europeans visiting
Why do Americans think Argentina is like white nazi wakanda? its 80 percent brown by my estimations
Paris is comically white to me to give you an idea
This is some sort of leftypol psyops to convince people that a white country can be poor and dysfunctional without being ex soviet? its incredibly succesful
>>

Ukraine war is better than anything since ww2 thoughbelt
>>
>>65235849
>Tomahawks
Their entire submarine fleet if deployed (they wouldn’t be) could at most carry maybe 200. Realistically they’d get what? 3? 5 if they’re really pissed? That’s somewhere between 60-100 tomahawk missiles. Yeah they can probably fuck up whatever is put on the islands but more likely be used on military infrastructure around the islands. Between the cost, the sustainability issues, and the absolute dumpster fire that is bong politics no I don’t think they’re doing shit in a rematch. Unironically their best hope is crying to Trump who just cut the argies a deal and rely on political pressure. In other words they’re completely toothless as far as power projection goes these days. Especially for something they don’t really want.

I think you could do a good film about the battle of tumbledown
Follow this british general on the one side and an argentinian conscript on the other
Actually there is a film about tumbledown isn't there, maybe I should watch it before posting this, oh well

Tumbledown is actually a decent movie (not that you have a lot of options re: the Falklands) and is worth a watch. You don't see much of the battle until the end though. The movie starts with the protagonist being medevac'd and goes through his recovery, interspersed with chronological flashbacks until you get to the actual battle.
Goose Green is due for a movie though, that's for sure.

Largest air attack campaign in modern history, actual armored warfare at scale, insanely kino apocalyptic oil well burning setting vs. 3 cucks fight 4 retards over a sheep farm in the middle of nowhere, hmm yeah not a tough call. It's lame gay bullshit that has about 17 asterisks after it, like literally everything from the UK, including yourself. The quints spoke the truth, you're just too self absorbed to realize how trying to hype a boring clown show car crash like the falklands further reinforces what an irrelevant faggot containment plantation your entire country is and always will be.
>>
>>65238436
Oh no, I don’t care about the falklands. I’m just miffed that you would dare call desert storm “kino”. The only movies made about desert storm are the ones with jarheads going nuts about NOT getting the chance to kill someone. There’s a reason everyone to this day glazes the BHD incident, while completely casting desert storm to the wayside. Also, campaigns won by basically air power alone are gay and cringe and basically a litmus test for how incompetent your foe is. Iran-Iraq would’ve been pretty kino had it not been a complete strategic snooze fest. WW1 between hajis in the 1980s isn’t “kino” or interesting. It’s just sad.
>>
>>65238452
I remember some MAW guy told us that they were told they would all have fired their personal weapons in combat by the end of the war—and as an air maintenance guy he thought
>holy shit I guess this is the real one if they think even we are going to be in the shooting
and then four days later it was over
>>
Last good war so far*
>>
>>65232675
>It's funny how irrelevant
But enough about Russia
>>
>>65238452
>campaigns won by basically air power alone
Yes there was no multi national, multi division sickle cut armored envelopmemt across mined wasteland or anything in 1991. Much less anything really crazy like actual fucking Battleships providing NGS for the last time, American SF stalking SCUD launchers while bottom- bitch-brit special needs forces literally froze to death because they are too dumb to realize the desert gets cold at night, it was all an air war. Nevermind that the ground combat phase was 10000000 times more intense than the Falklands mutual jerk off session.

>There was no strategic momentum shifts in the Iran Iraq War, it was basically like WW1.
LMAO the absolute state of UK education. Tell me you know fuck all about that war without telling me. What a retard, everyone point and laugh
>>

And despite that, no one cares. Browns killing browns is just not interesting.
>>
>>65236286
>Realistically they’d get what? 3? 5 if they’re really pissed?
Three was all they had last time and that was enough to keep the Argentinian navy far away from the Falklands
>That’s somewhere between 60-100 tomahawk missiles. Yeah they can probably fuck up whatever is put on the islands but more likely be used on military infrastructure around the islands.
That 60-100 is more than enough to end any Argentinian attempt on the islands, hell the last time the Argentinian’s were shit scared of oblasts bombers dropping 1,000 on bombs on Buenos Aires. A couple of Tomahawks hitting the presidential palace or military headquarters is going to scare the shit out of them.
>Between the cost, the sustainability issues, and the absolute dumpster fire that is bong politics no I don’t think they’re doing shit in a rematch.
That forfeiture of the Falklands would be political suicide of whichever party allows it to happen, no way either of the major parties allows it too happen.
>Especially for something they don’t really want.
For something that they don’t want they sure seem to put a lot of effort into making sure the Argentinian’s don’t get it.
>>
>>65239121
>For something that they don’t want they sure seem to put a lot of effort into making sure the Argentinian’s don’t get it
The British government doesn't even want Northern Ireland, Thatcher wanted to get rid of it. Only reason they didn't go for it was because it would have triggered a civil war. They even allowed the Scottish to vote on independence, the South was never given that opportunity. The British government gives even less of a fuck about the Falklands.
>>
>>65232549
Too many sheep on the Falklands. They were distracted from their duties
