Is it possible to shoot a revolver chambered in .44 Magnum with one hand without breaking your own wrist? The idea here is that I want to fend off grizzly bears with guns akimbo and just riddle the beast with bullets if it comes too close. I intend to practice frequently at the range drawing and firing revolvers with both hands. I would even hire a coach to train me to draw both weapons during condition black... I mean at a moment's notice.I'm sorry if this is worded weird, I just drank 100mg of THC a half-hour ago and I'm really high right now.
>>65233685It is possible but if you don't know how to at this point it's already too late.
>>65233685You aren't going to break your wrists necessarily but you aren't going to be very effective. The idea is fundamentally stupid. Just carry a single 44 or a Glock 20 if you want to magdump. Black bear aren't that tough. For grizzly you probably want that 44. For polar you'll need a long gun.
Breaking your wrist is extremly unlikely. Gun flying out of your hand or you accidentally doubling it into your head cause you didnt hold it right is a possiblity.
>>65233685ever hear of a "rifle"?
>>65233685>shoot a revolver chambered in .44 Magnum with one handI do it all the time. Wtf?
>>65233721>Gun flying out of your hand or you accidentally doubling it into your head cause you didnt hold it right is a possiblity.Holy Fucked in the Head, Batman!
>>65233721>accidentally doubling it into your headDo we have any video of this actually happening? I've seen close calls but never a Darwin Award.
>>65233685>during condition blackIf you are cond. black there is no more hope. The bear has already forced you passed the other conditions you've had set and will force you to become ineffective. The bear got into your OODA loop.
>>65233685"The .44 is the finest woodsman's big bore revolver ever made." Elmer Keith said that, and I'd say he knows a little more about .44 magnum than you do, pal, because he invented it, and then he perfected it so that no living bear could best him in the ring of honor.
>>65233685>Is it possible to shoot a revolver chambered in .44 Magnum with one hand without breaking your own wrist? For you specifically, no.
>>65233685>DUDE WEED LOL I SMOKE GANJA LOL I'M SO HIGH ON WEEDFuck off, underage nigger>Is it possible to shoot a revolver chambered in .44 Magnum with one hand without breaking your own wrist?Yeah, I've done it. It hurts and the muzzle ends up pointing somewhere unpredictable, so don't do that
>>65233742Yes. Go to https://old.bitchute.com. Type in "shoots himself in head" in the seachbar.Hit enter.
>>65233752Elmer Keith was a coping manlet who got no bitches. Jack O'Connor mogged him in every imaginable way.
>>65233736>You are now aware that Robin makes dog and cat food with outlandish advertising
>>65233685>Is it possible to shoot a revolver chambered in .44 Magnum with one hand without breaking your own wrist?Provided you've done an honest day's work at least once in your life, yes.If you're a desk jockey, possibly not
>>65234063They were all based men, anon.
Heh, reminds me of the time I shot my 5.5in SW29 for the first time.I watched all kinds of videos on how to handle a revolver, what to look out for, yadda yadda, because at that time I had never shot anything larger than 9mm.I only loaded a single round in case it flips back etc. After the first shot I thought "wait, that's it?". After the next handful of rounds I was already shooting one-handed.That moment I realized that everyone complaining about recoil is a weak little faggot sissy bitch.
>>65234606As you admitted, you studied pretty hard for the test. Most people walk into it not knowing what they're doing, half chance it's a prank.
>>65233685>Is it possible to shoot a revolver chambered in .44 Magnum with one hand without breaking your own wrist?Of course you can. The reason we generally prefer using both hands with a handgun is so we can get faster and more precise follow-up shots, but your wrist won't be in danger from one-handed shooting unless you are being an idiot.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzNPhJ_epOk
>>65233685.44, yes. 500, no.>tried it an broke right wrist, badly sprained left.
>>65233685>I want to fend off grizzly bears with guns akimboRead a fucking dictionary, dumbass. Akimbo is standing with hands on hips, elbows pointing outward. Try doing that with a pair of revolvers, you’re going to shoot yourself in both feet. Would it kill you to learn words before you post?
Why would you buy a .44 magnum when .41 magnum and .45 long colt exists?
>>65235084Because the .44 Magnum is better than both. The .44 Magnum was invented because the .45 Long Colt's brass wasn't thick enough. .41 Magnum was a great in-between cartridge that could bridge the gap between .357 Magnum and .44 Magnum, but since revolver makers refused to make a dedicated frame for it, the .44 Special became more popular than the .41 Magnum, and people could just buy a .44 Magnum gun and shoot both .44 Magnum and .44 Special.
>>65234606Try shooting actual hot loads. .44 magnum can range from cowboy action to winchester white box to cor bon and buffalo bore. White box is on the fairly tame side. I wouldn't want to one-hand the latter, and I didn't even mention the ruger-only loads.
>>65234932I have an aspie gun nut bro who has an obsession with 500 Magnum. He carries that snub ported one with him in a shoulder holster. We do make it a point to one hand it at least once per range trip. I can see the wrist danger but it's doable. Now then, what really sucks ass from my experience is one of those scandium 357s - fuck that.
>>65235914>>65234932No one has ever broken their wrist from firing a pistol. People have fired 50BMG pistols with the compensators removed, there have even been 4 bore and 2 bore pistols. Guns breaking their user's bones is a myth.
Dual wielding is dumb.
>>65235931Bullshit
Honestly, shooting my bisley super Blackhawk was more comfortable one handed. I miss that gun.
>>65236505anon the gun is much more likely to fly out of your hand than it is to break your wrist.
>>65233685>Is it possible to shoot a revolver chambered in .44 Magnum with one hand without breaking your own wrist?Whut..Yes. Yes it is.The question you needed to ask was "Is it practical?".
>>65236542Broke mine
>>65236591When they x-rayed you, did it say bitch made on your bones?
What kind of .44s do you have in mind? I have a redhawk that is almost pleasant to shoot one handed, and I don't shoot weak loads
>>65233685am i a joke to you?
>>65236505Show me the X-ray nigger you're the first recorded case in history.
