that's right, Hormuz is in the territorial waters of Oman and Iran
freedom of navigation applies to both though under UNCLOS.
that however doesn't mean that the territorial state can't carry out law enforcement in those waters
in fact nearly all of the shadow fleet ships could be stopped, boarded, searched and if need be held due to them not being properly registered
and I'm not talking about just flying a flag of convenience but full on flying a flag of a country they aren't registered in

International waters start 12 nautical miles from the closest coast
However the english channel is only 20 miles wide at the Strait of Dover, so there is no way to cross it without going through French or British waters.

This is just performative noise, Russia has 700+ of these ships and the britgov will have to pay harbor fees to some brit port authority for the ships they seize and park somewhere. They are so strapped for cash that these fees is actually limiting their activities.

The Iran war will not stop, and once it restarts, it is quite likely that all oil and gas infrastructure in the middle east ends up wrecked. That means a further 8-10 million barrels per day goes offline. That will shift the oil pricing and distribution power to producers even more, and if Russia would demand that their customers do not resell russian oil, gas and derivatives like diesel and gasoline to NATO-associated countries, their customers would have no choice but to accept.

Then, from the perspective of Europe, 30% of global oil production would be offline, and the primary supplier would have to be.... yes.... America and Doooooonald Truuuump! And ol Donnie has made it very clear that he wants Ukraine to give up and if those dang euros wont stop feeding the ukies, well, he just might put some restrictions on oil and gas exports to Europe.

Right now the shortages caused by the middle east war and the ukie bombings of russian oil terminals are papered over by multiple strategic oil reserves, but reserves are not infinite, and when they run dry, that is when the real show begins. Meanwhile the brit tards are doing stunts like this instead of preparing for what may be a really really difficult winter. Its not just oil that is going to be in short supply, food too. If the Iran war goes into 2028 it is going to be even worse.

>Back to this shill point again?

I see what you mean. The russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 did not cause a permanent shortage of oil. It just shifted consumption patterns so that russian oil went elsewhere and elsewhere oil went to Europe. But this time, the oil is actually gone. Europe lost cheap natural gas in 2022 and replaced it with american and quatari LNG at 5x the price. That caused massive consumption destruction.

This time, the quatari LNG is also gone. And it will only become worse. Furthermore, the gulf arabs were also big time makers of nitrogen products. So are the russians. And the ukies have bombed russian nitrogen plants because you need ammonia to make high explosives. So thats a shitload of nitrogen fertilizer production that now is permanent offline. And thats just some of whats missing. The coming year will be an entertaining shitfest where the clueless instagram and facebook normies have their world turned upside down when interest rates goes positive relative to the rate of monetary debasement for the first time in 50+ years. The boomer pension funds are going to be big time bagholders when the securitized debt they hold end up being worth a fraction of its booked value. You can imagine what happens when generation entitled finds out that their pension payouts are reduced with 25-50% and the TV says its Irans fault. You kids gotta go over there and git sum of them turbin heads!

>[Iran war stops]

Not gonna happen. Them turbin heads know they are sitting with a strong strategic hand and that it gets stronger the more time passes on and global strategic oil reserves start to empty. America has also completely ignored that its gulf arab jamboys are terribly import dependent and that they import just about everything and in particulary their food via the strait. I would have expected some smarter heads in the US State Department or Pentagon to have whipped up some overland truck bridge from the Red Sea to the Gulf by now, carrying essentials to Iraq, Q8, UAE, Quatar etc, but that has not happened because everyone but the iranians expect this war to be over any minute now because it just has to, okay!

The israelis wants this war to continue until America has been forced to crush Iran or just turn it into a failed state. So they are going to start bombing as soon as there is talk of peace. The outcome will be that Israel/America/Iran accidentally crushes Britbongistan as some kind of unintended collateral damage because the brits are the most import dependent euro country by far while their primary income is from financial services of which most comes from the gulf arabs who now are temporarily closed down.

Im talking real goods and resources here. Measured in raw imports, Britain is mass importing food, fuel and electricity. This stuff doesnt cost much now but it will cost a lot more in six months and there will even be shortages. And that is where the brits will get rekt. You cant buy something thats not for sale.

The UK is not particularly bad in food security.

Your whole argument rests on war continuing to pressure supplies. The war in Iran just ended.

Also one of the few good things the Bongs have done is tried to diversify their power production so they're NOT reliant on imports. Lots of other terrible things they do, mind, but that is one thing they're not reliant on.

As for food, you're confusing
>they are importing exotic food and out-of-season food
with
>they cannot feed their population on their own

They can, but the UK can't grow masses of lemons and oranges, so they import them. In terms of food security, the UK is fucking fine. The only thing they'd have a problem with if trade stopped happening would be tea.

Fertilizer shortages coming up. Recalculate with 25-35% lower yield. Remember that livestock also eat crops so meat, milk, cheese and eggs are going to become rather expensive.

>>65239137
>Also one of the few good things the Bongs have done is tried to diversify their power production so they're NOT reliant on imports.

In a shortage the available supplies flow to whoever has the most to pay, that's just capitalism
the west will not run out of oil and fertiliser until there is literally none left. The third world, as usual, will bear the brunt of this crisis
