What BladeShow 26 knife does everyone have their eye on atm?

I think I want a Lishen Fowl.

Also have been thinking of a ~4 inch scandi grind knife in magnacut for an “ultimate survival knife.” Currently my “ultimate” is a 4.5” 3V saber grind.

Yet another unergonomic shit knife.
>>
>>65241648
as much as I like scandi grind, if I wanted "ultimate survival knife" meme shit I'd go for a convex 100% of the time, in some no frills carbon steel. It'd be unbreakable and hold an edge great and be easy to sharpen or just strop back to sharp.
>>
>>65241948
Good point. But what companies are making good convex bushcraft/survival knives?

Just buy a Nisaku Hori Hori on Amazon for like $20, they're really good for their intended use (foraging wild vegetables and shit). Hokuru offers one with a guard in case you're worried about that.

Thoughts:
Only 5" handle, so meh as a home defense or wilderness dagger, but is probably the maximum size for pocket carry.
It looks like the pocket clip is done well as long as that little lip catches on the pocket brim so the sheath stays put.
Looks like adequate but not full hand protection with that handle shape which allows more than 50% of it to fit in the sheath.
Very interesting blade shape and angle grinds all over the place, some like a yakut knife.
Blade maybe a little wide. Hopefully that lets them put a sharp edge on it.
What is the inclusive edge angle?
Will it shave hair out of the box?
Not for me, but might meet someone's needs beautifully.
>>
>>65243481
One could probably palm that handle for extra support while stabbing.
>>
>want this unreliable overpriced piece of shit
Talk me out of it /kg/, I think I am just subconsciously chasing the Eagle Leg/Talon or whatever. There is nothing worth owning from this knife, the action sucks. The lock sometimes fails. The blade is not really heat treated well for a m390. But damn do I love this weird form factor.

I don't have fragile masculinity and nothing to prove to strangers around me. I understand the psychological reasoning for serious or well-known manufacturers not offering vibrant color choices, but I think some of them look pretty. I literally only found two knives that came in a different color besides black, grey, or silver with an anodized handle that wasn't "gas station" aesthetics or some chinese manufactuerer.

a few days ago i woke up early for my 4am job and just randomly happened to see a youtube short about a fucking Paragon Warlock box cutter.
I got ready, went to work, and had the worst fucking day due to crowds of people buying shit for watch parties for the sportsball game, i think it was the bounceNet version instead of the divegrass version.
In any case the moment i got back home i bought this bullshit. Not this one specifically, its a hundred bucks cheaper directly off ashville steel's website so i just bought what they had in stock. I already own a warlock so i know what im getting into, and i've been in high spirits all week, it should get here by thursday.
>>
>>65245172
>chinese manufactuerer
>>
>>65245191
In my defense I don't really come to knife threads or lurk in them on /k/, so I didn't know what the perception for Civivi knives were, and just assumed people were going to slander them.

>>65245198
It is? Oh well...could have fooled me. I'm not paying $200 for a "Made in America" Benchmade or something that is inflated because it was "Made in America"
>>
>>65245194
>Paragon Warlock
>Look it up
>$400 EDC
>Looks like mall-ninja weeb knife
>$400

Good god, kek. For $400 it better be incredible. Initial reviews say it's not good for anything at all, so don't know what is about. I guess it's something collectors buy just to have and show off.
>>
>>65245203
>benchmade
>only 200 dollars
lmao

but anyway if you're spending on an expensive knife and its chinese you're gonna get a crock of shit and you're gonna just have to like it. With an american knife after you spent 250 fucking dollars to get some bent shit with an awful grind and burrs on the inlays, you can at least send it back.

Half of spyderco's shit is taiwan or china but you can still complain to their US headquarters. If your civivi is fucked up (it is) and you call civivi usa they'll tell you to fuck yourself in the dick and email ching chang at civivi global.
>>
>>65245209
I mean unless its Microtech and they would just tell you to fuck off. But at $500 only a total moron would buy a Microdick over something like a CRK or Strider.
>>
>>65245209
>If your Civivi is fucked up (It is)

Same can be said for any knife. I've seen reviews of Kershew's out of the box with poor sharpness or broken locks. Same thing with Spyder-Co, same thing with Benchmade, same thing with SOG, etc. You can be Benchmade shill all you want, but a lot of people find the knives overpriced for what they are, and you can find equally good/better knives for half, if not more of the price. I've owned a couple of Benchmades myself, not specifically the Bugout, which seems to be the biggest shilled knife on the market, but the ones I had were okay. A lot of people buy them for the price point and the popularity/hype around them. It's just marketing.

You should just buy what you like. If you like the way a knife looks then buy it and use it, and if people think it looks stupid or worthless, then fuck them.

full size, double edged dagger that still goes in your pocket. The "gravity knife" swivel clamshell mechanism is just a fun thing, its not actually convenient or fast or tactical or anything.
I carry mine in my gun bag, its not an EDC but its cool to be able to carry a whole ass double edged dagger without a kydex sheath
it was also 200ish back in the day when it was aluminum instead of titanium
>>
>>65245223

I have a question for people ordering direct through CRK. If I were to put my name into the waiting list, and while I'm on the waiting list they change blades from Magnacut to Magnamax, this means that when my time comes I get the Magnamax blade right?

This is true and chang will tell you to mail the knife to china costing 2/3 of what the knife is worth so fuck that noise.
If you buy civie the first thing you need to do is take it apart and oil the bearings. They dont come oiled. Which means where you use it as a fruitknife the balls rust and it opens like shit.

>Bought the PB&J Civivi Yonder
>I have a fucking mental problem when it comes to colorful, limited-run G10 knives

The Yonder has astounded me. Super solid crossbar, light but full in the hand, puts the Bugout to shame. Spay-point blade is certainly unique. Grip geometry took a bit of getting used to. Part of me still thinks the Elementum feels better, ergonomically, but I really enjoy using the Yonder. I genuinely pick this over my Bugout.

It's interesting, especially in the modern knife market where dudes think an asymmetrical knife is a design flaw. Seems like they're shooting themselves in the foot since a lot of the mallninjas they're clearly targeting will look at that and think
>but that big blood groove will weaken the blade so there's no way this will penetrate the North Korean kevtanium armor when they invade and I'm CQCing guys on the frontline

Both left after the Apartheid, Mick went to train the IDF and later to work in Hollywood.
