>>65244038Sampos were the saddest story. With little refinement both of them could have been export successes.First there was the LMG version to replace expensive Lahti-Saloranta M/26, but the overly generous Soviets abandoned so many DPs on the border that it was better to produce something more needed. The medium machine gun went into frontline testing and overall performed really well. Then they had the idea of building the cheap MG 42 in 7.62x53r, but that didn't work out either as the war ended.
>>65245489>Then they had the idea of building the cheap MG 42 in 7.62x53r, but that didn't work out either as the war ended. The funny thing is that through sheer magic they made the prototype work with a rimmed cartridge, and only then realized they didn't have the tooling for mass production
20 ItK 40 VKT was yet another good one from Lahti. Despite being in twin mounts, it was small and light, so perfect for manhandling and bending against any tree. I recall it didn't get anywhere as numerous as imported 20mm AA-guns, yet it remain in reserve for a long time.
>>65245489looks nice
What if Suomi SMG, but BIGGER?Cartridge was going to be either their own 7.62x35 or 9x35. Similar performance to M1 Carbine perhaps?Wood penetration tests at 150m = 164 yars:9x19 from Suomi M/31 - 13cm = 5.2 inch9x35 from AL-43 - 27cm = 10.7 inch7.62x54r from M/91 rifle - 40cm = 15.8 inchAt 300m AL-43 still penetrated 14cm = 5.5 inch
>>65245615Too bad we Finns did what we do best>x is a passing fadThat time it was intermediate cartridges, later on touchscreens
I saw Forgotten Weapons video on the M92S imports, but what are the chances that these won't be ludicrously overpriced? I want the elf gun.
>Mosin:|>Mosin, Finland:DDD
>>65244038>hmofa yesNo one like it the other way around but me :(
>>65247221Because why? Only like weirdo women or furfags like that.
>>65247194No chanceF for Finnish gun culture though, most M92Ss are owned by boomers who will jump at the chance to sell theirs to Americans so they can take 20k more to their graves
>>65247397Anon some of the best selling romance novels are women getting turned into cumdumps by monsters its actually way more popular than HMOFA
>>65245489Is that curly birch furniture? My god...
>>65245718Sounds like a classic case of maxed int dumped wisSmart enough to realize x is shitDumb enough to not grasp why it's going to be popular nevertheless
>>65247611Idgaf its low effort brime made by jews. Also if its popular doesn't mean it's good.
>>65247601You think that's a joke? A dude by me last year got concrete blocked with all his money in a vault in a grave.WWII vet with a family, every fucking dime.
>>65247646There's a lot of birch up in these countries.
I'm surprised nobody has posted anything from Sako or Tika(besides one guy asking about that civilian ak)
I got a Swedish Lahti. The cats name is Finland though. Supposedly you shouldn’t fire hot 9mm through them.
>>65248172Yes, it's kinda heavy, but the breech is on the weaker side, so you should really stick to mild loads for these pistols. A few clueless idiots in the Swedish army managed to blow up some of those pistols in the 80s by shooting m/39B with them (you should ideally not shoot that ammo in anything with a locked breech tbhdesu), which is what lead to them finally being taken out of service and inventory for good.
