source-less statements aside, I hate context-less price figures which pop up in news etc. It doesn't tell you what the program cost % is, how procurement count affects unit costs etc. That is key for allowing taxpayers and politicians to form well-reasoned opinions on the subject, but of course all everyone cares about are headlines and the gibs they can get for their state.
