would it be a warcrime if you can hack the enemy comms and do funsies like calling artillery on your enemy(their friends), ordering a move order through a mined camp, calling in CAS on a certain position so you can fry it with a stinger, calling casevac and then killing everyone inside the helo, giving a friendly command post coordinates for air strike, telling them to let the enemy come pass
only if you lose, it's clever psychological warfare if you win
>>65244605>would it be a warcrime if you can hack the enemy comms and do funsiesNo, that would considered a ruse de guer you retarded lonely frog poster
>>65244605All no except>calling casevac and then killing everyone inside the helofor obvious reasons.
>>65244605No except the casevac thing obviously, but any competent modern military would generally realize that you are calling an attack on a friendly target.
>>65244871> any competent modern militaryNot many of those left.
>>65244764>>65244871Even the CASEVAC is fair game if its not a designated MEDIVAC platform (i.e., unarmed and marked with red cross).
>>65245149>Not many of thoseWasn't it the Norwegians who busted tf out of the US by triangulting cell phns on US military personnel in jointt war exercizes?
>>65245165>exercises
>>65244605Most of those things would be perfectly fine except for messing with medical evacuation. That's protected under laws of war, although not in every case.Good example of this exact thing happening was early on in the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Russians had shitty unsecured comms because decades of endemic corruption meant that the more expensive encrypted communication systems were too scarce to be useful. Ukranians by en large speak Russian fluently and had no trouble listening in, impersonating commanders, calling Russian CAS/artillery on known Russian positions, sending supply runs in a wild goose chase, and generally causing all manner of devilment. It still happens, but Russian units have been more strategic about how they use unencrypted comms if they have to use them.

>>65244605there's no such thing as war crimes if you win

>>65245165Are you thinking about this story? Because it's the norge who got waxed in it.It's also just a random greentext
>>65245165The funniest part is they used fake tinder profiles and the range data the app provides to triangulate. If you have a couple of hundred horny young men in one place you have to take their phones away.
>>65245152>unarmed and marked with red crossIsraelis just call that a target of opportunity
>>65247186From AA and mg/rifle range, all you're seeing is a silhouette or radar crosshair going over enemy positions the same as a resupply chopper.
