I started collecting Saturday night specials and got this Sundance 25 unfired in original box. Anyone else collect these cheap guns and look for them in new condition?
>consooming products):<>"collecting" thing:D
>>65246397>Sentimental collections and my doordash addiction are the same thing!
CoolI want all oddball cartridge pistols rounded up and sent India
>>65246397Im sorry you're a brokey anon.
I see why people do this but there's barely anything firearms-related about it. (Weapons ?)
Nah, but I admire and respect their position in the 2a fight to arm every hooker in america to make Johns think twice. streetwalkers with 25acps shoot more degenerates than the police ever will and it's not even close.
>>65246479sexy
I don't collect them, but I had a buddy who bought a Phoenix Arms .22. While I appreciate the tenacity of all the Ring of Fire manufacturers, I can attest that the Phoenix Arms, in particular, was absolute dogshit in quality and refused to cycle even the most basic bitch Winchester white box .22lr.So, there's that. But, as I said, I appreciate the history of the Ring of Fire guns. I think it's funny that they kept telling the grabbers to fuck off even after being litigated out of existence. "Oh, the company is out of business. But my brother just started another one making the same fucking gun."
>>65246405The only way Saturday night specials are of sentimental value is if you're a nigger from the 70s.>my dad used to have oneHe ain't your daddy
>>65246289I don't really get why you'd want to spend money and physical space on a pile of objectively shitty guns.
>>65246873history. culture. >>65246861no one said 'sentimental'. you're projecting.
>>65246861I still carry my colt vest pocket. I have never heard of OP's gun, but I would snatch that up in a heartbeat if it was under $500.
>>65246397I collect opened envelopes and do very well, thank you!
>>65246861>The only way Saturday night specials are of sentimental value is if you're aSunday morning survivor.
>>65246873>objectively shitty guns. They take less space than shitty cars and motorbikes.
>>65246873Considering how much cash people shell out for Colt Walkers, what's wrong about collecting other awful Americana novelty handguns?
>>65246289Fellow Saturday night special collector detected.Nothing pisses me off worse than this market. It's the worst example of fud price inflation.
>>65246944>>65247010>>65247060Why would something else being bad, or someone else being retarded, make this somehow not retarded?
>>65247101I'm saying their value's completely that they're Americana. They don't have to be good, they just have to be AMERICAN.It's like collecting arm braces, forced reset trigger kits, craft built short and long stroke AR conversion, rebuilt kit guns and re-chambered import guns - the point of the collection is that it represents a facet of an US-specific gun culture rather than that any of them are satisfactorily operational.
>>65246289>Anyone else collect these cheap guns and look for them in new condition? Not quite as focused as that but I have a real soft spot for cheap, weird guns. I have a Star FM that's a great little target pistol and I'm always on the lookout for factory-engraved Llamas as well as obscure yuro rifles. Had to fight the temptation to buy a rolling block in .43 Egyptian a couple weeks ago and I want a Vetterli as well.
>>65247152Also, you can shoot a gun. You know, for fun?
>>65247093Listen here sonny, I know what I've got
>>65246944>no one said "sentimental"Guess they didn't teach you to read at Malcolm X High School. It's in the second reply in the fucking thread.
>>65247266When I hold a gun, it makes a sentiment.
>>65247101>at least I'm not as big a whore as she is!Less bad is less bad.
>>65247060>own a Gt27>and a walkerI swear to God one more crack out of you and I'm blasting away all the drywall
>>65247343I got a Uberti Walker to do the maymay cartridge conversion. Kind of weak and finicky, does .45 colt cowboy loads even compare to the full horse-killer black powder loads?
>>65247343Think of the neighbors down the street.
>>65246861I own a 1976 unopened bottle of ripple, I sold the Boons Farm for $90. I found them behind a false wall.
>>65247608>E & J GalloNow that's some true ghetto shit. Fantastic find. You definitely have the N-word pass.
>>65247734Idk if anyone keeps records bu that might be the world's most expensive vintage boon's farm. I haven't checked lol.If you think about it, the combo makes me Sammy Davis Jr.
>>65246818I bought a Phoenix .22 literally a couple of months before they went out of business. It's inaccurate and has a retarded manual of arms, plus it's SAO for whatever reason, though I did the safety mod so now it functions more or less like any other pistol. That said, it sparks joy and it runs reliably after I took a file to a couple of the mating surfaces. The thing that killed the Ring of Fire for good wasn't so much the grabbers, it's just that the bottom end of the market has moved past them. There's no good reason to buy a Zamak special when Taurus or Keltec or even PSA can give you something way better for only a little bit more money.
nice, sundance i think was right before it became phoenix armsgood find bud, unfortunately phoenix is now out of business but there is nothing wrong with collecting the line of ring of fire pistols. JenningsJiminezBrycoLorcinSundancePhoenixRavenall same group of dudes i think
>>65246818mine actually eats everything and doesnt jam. the sight sucks and it shoots ok; but it never jams and it actually feels good to shootthat being said any gun that is mold injected metal and the fire control group is held on with the grips is probably not of high quality nor will it last
>>65248268yup, race to the bottom. if these were still $80-100 brand new then they would still be selling but i cant imagine making enough money on these at that price to be worth it
>>65246405Explain the sentiment you had for this gun.
>>65248290from what I have learned about them, they were barely above 15-20 dollars in materials. They sold around 50-60 to wholesalers/distributors and then dealers had to make due with an 80 dollar gun.Essentially you need to move a ton of these to make it worth your while which was sort of the problem.
>>65246428Never post here again
>>65246861Whatever, man. I have a Raven Arms MP-25 from my grandfather. I'm pretty sure it was his belly/pocket gun when he was driving a cab.
>>65247608Ripple
>>65248302Sentimental just means emotional you can just enjoy small shitty guns as a vibe.
i think she is a cutie papewie OP, you keep on keeping on.I like iver johnson revolvers but i've only got 2.
