Thanks for the memories. Back when I was in the Air Nasty Guard working on tankers the Chief sent me down the flight line to carry some tools to a crew. There were a dozen BUFFs spotted facing away from the line. About halfway down the line I noticed that all the tail cannons were TRACKING THE TOOLBOX.
Well I set that box down and got the hell out of there! You see B-52s originally carried carried tailgunners. Then about '62 they got rid of the gunners and made them radar+computer directed. Then 20 years they got rid of the 20 millimeters entirely. But in between crew Chiefs had fun switching on the directors and sending metal-laden noobs to get the shock of a lifetime

will these need overhaul in any way after this deployment?
