Why was the Flying Circus even allowed? Why did German High Command allow von Richthofen's theatrics instead of just forcing him to paint his plane in camouflage like everyone else?
>>
The reasons range from IFF to propaganda.
>>
>>65248559
Actually, they were getting everyone to paint their planes brightly because they kept shooting their own planes down.
>>
Europeans weren't spiritually raped yet (or rather, the full extent of the rape hadn't set in) so it was okay for a fighter pilot to larp as a knight because it was cool and noble and fun
>>
>>65248559
Why wouldn't it be allowed? You think you're going to camouflage a tri-plane against the sky?
>>
>>65248559
Because German High Command barely understood how planes worked so they just let the people who actually flew them decide how to use them, so long as they accomplished their objectives.
>>
>>65248588
This is the reason why they used to sing in German during nomansland charges. It was to prevent friendly fire.
>>
While some pilots may have been inspired by the sight of a group of red enemy aircraft, seeing it as a chance to make their mark on military history, many others likely lost their will to fight.
>>
>>65248590
One day, Europe will be better again, and then each nation will have a few tanks and IFVs, etc, painted and decked up with colorful heraldry celebrating their nation's heritage. Basically just for parade and national pride reasons.

>>65248626
>Oh no, I painted my plane for cloudy weather but now the skies are clear, everyone can see me!
>>
>>65248559
They thought of planes like the new cavalry, and cavalry had always been the place where you put young and crazy officers to do crazy stunts and get killed.
>>
They were used to losing 10,000s lives a day. What do they care about telling off a guy that’s worth infinitely more as a propaganda piece than a battleline mover when they don’t even know what air forces are for yet?
>>
>>65248559
>Why was the Flying Circus even allowed?
Because, IT'S: https://youtu.be/-rutX0I6NxU?t=8
>>

They thought it was their best chance to tackle the passive homosexuality being projected out of the Royal Flying Corps head on.
>>
Idea: dress an army and its vehicles up like clowns to humiliate the enemy
Bonus points for doing tricks in the middle of battle
>We're losing to CLOWNS

Yeah your Warrior will be painted with Saar Jerzy and and crewed by Ibrahim, Delroy, and Gupta. England cultural victory!

As long as he kept shooting down Entente aircraft, they would have to send up rookie pilots that had not yet developed the faculties and habits required to spot other aircraft, meaning he could easily get the drop on them no matter the colour of his own ride.

Prussia was a noble warrior culture,
His skills far out weighed the value of camo,
British pilot fell for it times and times again,
Propaganda value.
if it didnt work hed been killed before raking some 80 kills
>>
>>65248559
Being the 'right sort of chap' really counted for something and it allowed certain men all sorts of privileges of rank, it was a holdover of the long 19th century, WW1 killed it though.
>>
>>65249936
>Prussia was a noble warrior culture
As if.
Also:
>doesn't know the difference between a mass-focused military culture and an individual-centered warrior culture.
Industrialized warfare based on universal conscription and standardized, amassed, regimented units operating in a strict, hierarchical, and centrally managed manner in accordance to grand strategic plans, cannot practically produce nor allow a "warrior culture". Partially because every man must be replaceable. Except perhaps those of the high(-er) command, who are more individualized in their respective roles and influences on their subordinates. However, due to the nature of their duties, they can't exactly be considered "warriors" either.
Stupid frogposter.
>>
>>65250660 (me, cont.)
For those so inclined, for more information, even the fucking Wikipedia article on "Warrior" makes the basic distinction quite clear:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warrior
>>
>>65250660
>gas le bad when Germany uses it
>gas le good when we use it
>>
>>65250660
>>65250666
>Quoting wikipedia to cry about how you can't have a warrior culture if you're not brown
Kamala lost.
>>
>>65250660
The krauts boasting they were replaceable was all a LARP as once their skilled warriors bit it the new guys couldn't actually keep the engine moving. Russia is what happens when you truly make an army based off the principals of replaceable, interchangeable units, and the end result is that to make them replaceable you end up degrading training so badly that the only thing they're useful for is police actions.

>>65248559
red goes faster
>>
>>65248559
The whole Flying Circus thing was that they could rock up at short notice and provide area ariel dominance for a few hours/days and move on to another area.
>>
>>65251060
>Mentioning how industrialization destroyed warrior cultures in Europe, i.e. knights of old, and replaced them with conscripts and soldiers

Industrialization is brown, Tolkien understood this

The irony of some french fag seething about frogposters.

Ahh, yes. Because warriors famously never die.

NTA but you do realize that when (economic factors are the only reason their native countries suck) bloodlines outnumber the (taxpayer) bloodlines the former isn't going to continue expanding devoid of the logistics that allows their massively inflated populations, right? Those populations are going to crash back down, globally, to levels they haven't seen since before we first encountered them.

You cant rob Peter to pay Paul forever while also expanding the number of Peters exponentially.

>>65251060
>Kamala lost.
Yeah, and? She was a spineless loser selected by committee, rather than someone with actual political momentum or vision. About as inspiring and electable as a roadside billboard.

I'm actually a fingol. What made you think I'm French, of all things?

Industrialization is a white man's work, browns and yellows, let alone blacks, never reached any level of industrialization. The issue was the background where that industrialization materialized. We gain industry while forgetting God, so we spiralled out of control and fucked ourselves.
