The POF MP5, the only thing that ever came from Pakistan that wasn't hated or hideous.
>>65251514>those welds
>>65251514>wasn't hideousThat shit looks like it was welded by a 12 year old.
>>65251892I never quite understood why some anons are so addicted to good welding. If it gets the job done, why care? Genuinely curious.
>>65251514They're adequate poorfag MP5s.>>65251816>>65251892Have you ever actually seen H&K's own welds? They were never the prettiest or most polished themselves, the bar was never high.
whatever happened to the actual jank MP5s you'd read about back in the day?
>>65253242Vulkcan/Hesse and Coharie Arms went tits up like 20 years ago and you have to go out of your way now to buy one of their dumpsterfire MP5 clones. After the was Omega and Atlantic shuttered that shit like a decade ago. There haven't been truly bad MP5 clones on the market for a long while.
>>65253242Just search Todd Bailey on the HKpro forum or on your favorite search engine. He's actually really interesting to read about, despite being the biggest crook in the US firearm industry. But he was behind all those early MP5 clones. Sold under many companies, but all his.
>>65253245There really aren't any junk ones produced now, no. Even going and buying a Paki or Chinese MP5 clone, they are going to be reasonably solid.
>>65251514>the only thing that ever came from Pakistan that wasn't hated or hideousCounterpoint:
>>65253660Even the turkshit ones?
>>65254061Roach manufacturing > Poopistan manufacturingThe only reason Paki HK clones are serviceable is because they're making them on old German tooling (so are Turks desu).
>>65254061>>65254083I'd expect Turkish weapons to generally be better made than Pakistani weapons.PTR in America also have H&K tooling, they bought it from the Portuguese when they were done with it. Norinco just reverse engineered it all, like they do with everything else.
>>65254061Especially the roach ones, honestly. By far more of those out in the wild here and they still have a very solid rep.
>>65254061The MKE clones are G2G, won't have as nice a finish or welds as an SP5 but they also cost less than half and don't have a cuck shelf. I've had mine for 7 years now, have shot the piss out of it (mostly suppressed) and had it chug through two OOBs.
>>65254168I wonder where I can get one. I've watched a few youtube vids and I see a lot of people stand by them because they utilize official tooling. You think I should get one, or do I just save a few more thousand for the real thing?
>>65254192Hey if the Sp5 is worth it to you, go for it. It'll be Krautshit and look nice. If you want one that you know will still work, look the part of the real deal and not rape your wallet, I think the AP5 is the way to go. Mine gets smacked around in matches and shit and I don't sweat it because of what it is, and that's liberating for me.
>>65254201Yeah that calls to me. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on it. Plus, who doesn't love krautshit. Thanks anon.
>>65254168>two OOBsWhat?
>>65254232He means two Ooga Ooga Boogas.
>>65254192I argue that the AP5 is actually more true to the original than the SP5.The AP5 was a proper subgun (produced for domestic and international military/police contracts) that was converted to semi auto for the US market. The SP5 was built from the ground up for the US civilian market. The early AP5s had issues because those were the first guns. MKE has resolved basically all of the gripes you find on old forum posts.People always bring up the finish, but both companies use the exact same powdercoat process for finishing the guns. Powdercoat is very durable compared to paint. I find this comment to be more parroted info rather than first hand experience. To me, the only benefit of the HK is the markings. You're not getting a overly superior product for the cost increase. For the people who do care about the HK markings but get a AP5 anyway have started using these to complete their "military builds".https://carolinalaserworks.ecwid.com/HK-MP5-Magwell-UID-p738021713
>>65254192I have both the SP5 (the less cucked Euro version with correct sights and no read manual crap on magwell) and a Paki, and honestly aside from the crappy paint on the latter it just works (had to get the new geometry ejector for it though, POF uses the old one and I had a FTE here and there until I swapped, now it runs like a tackdriver.)
>>65251514that's because someone else designed it.
>>65254168I have a MKE AP5 and it works pretty well. About 500 rounds through it so far without issue, using both MKE and HK mags.
>>65254168Clean your shit dude
>>65254578>guns that show actual wear and use>/k/ gets madyeah
>>65254772not him but get urself a ultrasonic cleaner tub. They're fucking excellent. I got a ptr over 10k rounds in and it looks brand fucking new
>>65254222>Yeah that calls to me. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on it. Plus, who doesn't love krautshit. Thanks anon.I don't know if you're illiterate, but the post you're replying to is clearly suggesting that the AP5 is the better purchase.
>>65254788I believe I wrote that awkwardly because I just woke up and haven't had my coffee at that moment. I comprehended that he was stating the AP5 was better, however. Kek.
>>65254061Mine ran like shit out of the box even after breaking in with 500 rds of nato. I ended up swapping the extractor and ejector for german parts and its worked perfectly ever since. Also bought a german mag because the turk mags are trash.Mines a mac, from what ive read people seem to be having better luck with the mke guns out of the box. Thats just my experience for what its worth. I have a used navy style lower housing on the way that takes an SEF trigger pack. Because they don't have the contours of the SEF housing they can be engraved and colored in with the little bullet markings.
>>65254152Bwahahahahahahahhaha
>>65256917Are you pretending to have the reading comprehension of a five year old or actually retarded?
>>65256979turkshit MP5s are the shittiest available on the market.
>>65257238Probably, but the floor isn't exactly in hell with MP5 clones these days.
>>65255295>dem roller marks near the trunnionYikes.
>>65254168What's a cuck shelf?
>>65256917do you think American AR-15s are bad because of R51 pistols? go away, moron.
>>65257917Its the reason why "clipped & pinned" trigger housing exist. Its a large metal lip welded to the rear of the magazine well. Back in the day it also used to prevent PTR and other clones from having paddle mag releases too.
>>65256917Wow, I didn't know that Turkish MP5 clones were actually secretly Remington 870 clones all along.
>>65257927In order to get around the shelf, you need to clip the cross pin in the lower housing, and then put the ends of the cut crosspin back in place (to make it look like it's still there).https://hkparts.net/all-parts/clipping-pinning-service-hk-lower-housings-poly/
>>65254061people swear the MKE AP5s are good but then say some shit like, "Yeah my MKE runs great out the box all I had to do is replace the recoil spring, the extractor spring, the extractor and the ejector with genuine HK parts is it runs smooth. No it cant run hollow points because theyre flat tipped. Are these roller dents anything to worry about?"
>>65258604>Yeah my MKE runs great out the box all I had to do is replace the recoil spring, the extractor spring, the extractor and the ejector with genuine HK partsOf those things the only ones that make sense are the extractor and ejector, and those can be had readily and pretty cheaply.>No it cant run hollow points Anon, no MP5 can. It has no feed ramp. This is an inherent part of the entire design.> Are these roller dents anything to worry aboutAre you getting MKE mixed up with MKEs, because the former is the one that had the internet up in arms over suppressors causing roller dents.Don't speak about things you don't know much about. instead, sit back and take in knowledge so you can be better informed.
>>65258637>Of those things the only ones that make sense are the extractor and ejector, and those can be had readily and pretty cheaply.Literally the first google result of "ap5 extractor spring" is a reddit thread full of people disproving this. And its not about the fact that replacing those parts is cheap, its that many people had AP5s out the box that couldnt shoot reliably without immediately switching out its stock parts.>Anon, no MP5 can. It has no feed ramp.My ptr9 doesnt give a fuck. I ran 300 rounds of federal 147 grain in super safety and semi auto without any feeding issues.>Are you getting MKE mixed up with MKEsYou got me here. I dont know what youre talking about. AP5s are shit and there are countless youtube comment sections and reddit threads of people troubleshooting it in ways PTRs owners dont have to worry about. If youre AP5 runs well, that's great. But all these other people learned the hard way what $2000 worth of cut corners looks like on an mp5 clone
>>65258604I've shot the shit out of my MKE >>65254168, only part I needed to replace was the ejector which doesn't come beveled like it should and wears out quicker and some extractor springs from use. I toyed with the F_style extractor but that actually wound up running worse than the stock one and I switched back to it, $80 poorer.>. No it cant run hollow pointsIt's an MP5 dumbdumb, no feedramp = no real reliable HP/FT feeding. That' goes for SP5s, too. I had to narrow it down to PPU 147s, anything else would feed inconsistently.>Are these roller dents anything to worry about? No idea what you're talking about here, if any MP5 brand is associated with roller dents its PTRs
>>65258704>acts like there aren't loads of reddit threads and YT vids of PTRs having issuesBet you don't even have a PTR and you're just being a shitter
>>65252417They're indicative of the manufacturing's quality.
>>65254232Out Of Battery, the round goes off without being fully chambered. I've gotten burnt fingers and a piece of casing stuck in the chamber, but otherwise they were non-issues. If my Roach MP5 was a Scorpion EVO, I'd have been hosed.
Jokes aside, I really spent a lot of time this last week to try to find some decent mp5 clone. Hell, it feels practically impossible to find anything good. I need anything at this point, anons. I have 1.5k to spend, direct me to any decent HK clone, any good MP5 look-alike. Hell, I'll take a good uzi clone. JUST GIVE ME SOMETHING GOOD, ANONS.
>>65258704>countless youtube comment sections and reddit threads of people troubleshooting it in ways PTRs owners dont have to worry aboutDamn I wish I read your second post before I responded earlier, I'd have pointed out the issue with PTR9KT bolt heads not being in spec enough to even take a HK #28 locking piece and needing to be sent back and ahnd-fitted, or the rampant roller dent issues they had (there's a series of YT vids from FirearmFreedom documenting the absolute shitshow of this particular bit), PTR voiding warranties if suppressors were involved...it's a ride.
>>65258724Oh yeah, pic of the inferior stock MKE ejector. I'd say swapping this will solve 95% of issues Roach MP5 owners may experience, though mine is way back from when Zenith imported them as the Z5RS, so the AP5s may not suffer these anymore.
>>65258775yeah I got no objection there, those are true points. PTR was fucking up back then. But I do want to say that many of those issue were from nearly 7 years ago, and PTR has improved them since then. In my own PTR9KT, I didnt learn about the HK#28 fitting issue until AFTER I bought one and installed it into the bolt head without any problems. I kept thinking, "Wait isnt this NOT supposed to fit?". Turns out PTR fixed the bolt head specs. I've ran the past 2000ish rounds with a Spectre9 and HK#28 with no roller dents or fuck ups. Im not gonna suck PTRs dick, but I still believe theyre better than MKE, especially when MKE troubleshooting threads are still made weekly on reddit.
>>65258840I'm seeing far, far more threads made about MACs than MKEs, and those two are not to be confused with one another. You might be conflating the two. I can also still find plenty of recent QC threads on PTRs.All that aside, if we're going to be using reddit problem threads to gauge overall gun quality, we're going to be finding no saints. There's also the fact the AP5 is by far and away the most popular MP5 on the market, and more consumers = more opportunity for problems to arise. Saying they're all trash because of an (admittedly) jank factory extractor that can be swapped out, or a feeding issue that the MP5 has by virtue of its very design (no feed ramp), or (non-K) roller dents that don't seem any more common than present-day PTR or HK MP5s (no, really, look up roller dents on the MP5 sub and there's more SP5s with the issue this year than MKEs or PTRs), isn't really fair. MAC clones are far and away more guilty of having QC problems.
>>65251514I don’t trust Packy corruption to not extent to metallurgy
>>65258604None of that matters anymore. All those problems are with the early gen models. MKE, like any other good company, improved on their early models. If you bought a MKE today, it works right out of the box with nothing replaced while shooting the blunt-nosed Lawman rounds.
>>65257924There is not a single turkish firearm sector that is good.
