What is the most reasonable middle ground between being an autistic retard who only settles for a NIB polished blued pre-WW1 1911 that was Teddy Roosevelt's personal EDC piece, and the most blinged out VTEC Type R 2011 with carbon fiber and speed vents and blue LEDs all over it that was made in Japan and forged over 9000 times?
And why is it a Virgin de Guadalupe nickel pearl and gold 1911 in 38 super
No but seriously where's the middle ground? Better than "explodes in your hand" museum pieces but not boomer bait that comes in a special wood box with monster cables? Or is that a flawed premise because "middle ground" means tighter tolerances without the tighter quality control?>use the general because I am a control freakNah

>>65253985I don’t understand your criteria. I guess late 90s early 2000s tactical 1911s. >front serrations>beaver tail >novak or heinie sights >front strap checkering with a high grip cut (material removed from under the mag release)>magwell so 8 round magazines with extended basepads sit flush My honest recommendation would to go out and buy the Kimber Warrior DS since more bullets is better. The Warrior DS comes in 9mm (aluminum frame), .38 super, 10mm (6 or 5 inch), and .45 ACP. Really you can just buy the .38 super and then fit a 9mm barrel yourself so you get a little more weight and the longevity of steel. Since the frame would be ramped you could with some skill, caliber convert with new top end assemblies.
>>65254468Also. The new 10-8 Performance masterclass from Springfield would be my dream 1911 if I was still into single stacks. https://youtu.be/RiuGhiuqsE0
>>65253985The simplest answere is a semi custom colt series 70 or 80.
>Springfield>my dreamWho is this fucking clown. Buy any gun and own it for awhile before you post here again idiot.
>>65254468>>65254484Single stack only. Any kind of optics is a no-go as are rails of any kind. Anything that deviates significantly from the silhouette like massively flared magwells or flat triggers, those kinds of things are where it goes off the rails. No threaded barrels, no bull barrels. There is some room for debate on stuff like: how big of a beaver tail, adjustable or 3-dot or glow-in-the-dark sights, the color/texture/material of the grips, what the slide serrations look like, what material is the finish
>>65254790Here are 3 of my guns. I think the 10-8 performance is optioned quite well and uses most of the 10-8 performance catalog for parts. If I was in the market for another carry 1911 I would buy it, but I think I should buy one anyway
>>65254811>flat triggers Usually an easy fix, but one time it took me 2 hours to fit a trigger since the bow got bent. The square trigger guard is actually a really old modification and also a very hard one to do since it involves cutting a welding/blending a new one on. So classic custom 1911s with the square guard are very sought after. Colt Limited Government, has the original Patent date, Novak sights, checkered front strap, beaver tail, etc >single stack only Gay

>>65253985the mexican in me wants to buy two.
>>65255146I'm not even mexican and I want one, the Romeo + Juliet movie turned me around on stupid looking pistols, there's just something about them. And not a gold deagle but something that looks like it would actually be used in a bar gunfight in culiacan or whatever

>>65255479That is such a 1990s thing to sperg about
>>65253985>not getting a 1911 made out of space rocks
>>65253985Like an old race gun?
>>65256453Isn't that what the terminator got at the gun shop in the first movie?
