Design me this /k/.>all terrain>amphibious>mine resistant>direct fire support>anti armor weaponry>able to defend against drones>able to have drone reconnaissance>able to withstand 30mm armor piercing rounds>able to function as command/medical/signals/anti aircraft/indirect fire support vehicle>troop carrier (13/26 men, not including driver and gunner/commander)>under 10 billion dollarsGive it to me I need it fucking now

>>65254577Chimeras haven't had Amphibious since...I think the 6e codex? It was definitely gone by the 8e Index, I just can't be arsed to dig out my 6e 'dex to confirm.
>>65254559Pic rel sounds like a pretty close starting point. All it needs to fulfill the non-modular requirement is some addon armour kits and a 30mm+ATGM equipped RWS optimized for anti-drone defense, along with possibly some glorified floaties to offset the lost buoyancy from cramming extra stuff on it (plus a couple of recon drones stowed in the hull to tick that box). Shouldn't honestly be that hard. Then it "just" needs to be modified to be modular in a similar vein to many modern AFVs, which is honestly the biggest challenge to getting your omni-IFV. After doing that, developing modules for command, indirect fires and whatever else you want should be a reasonably straightforward affair.
>>65254559>Hull: Patria AMV>amphibious>mine resistant>can withstand 30mm AP on the nose>12 dismounts, can be increased>Weapon: Kongsberg RWS of your choice>M230LF>HE-DP for direct fire support, Proxy for drones and helicopters, ATGMs for anti-armour>Developmental cost: $0, it already exists and is battle proven>Total cost: About 1.5 million dollars per vehicle
>>65254744Also it's heavily modifiable into whatever role you want. Picrel is a medical variant. Other modifications I'm aware of that has already been purchased by different nations:>command & control>NEMO mortar carrier>105mm cockerill turrets for even more direct fire support>reconThe only one I've yet to see them modify it into is an anti-air one, but the danes slapped a Skynex turret on a Piranha hull so it's definitely possible to do. You can basically turn it into anything you want.

We're basically to the point of a hybrid diesel-electric where each wheel has an electric hub motor. Electrification gives better torque and less transmission cost for an AWD.I think anons are correct with the wheeled IFV. An upgraded CROWS handles most drone defense.>able to withstand 30mm APWould probably be important to specify a particular weapon system because you didn't really distinguish between a WW2 autocannon, an aircraft cannon GAU-8 or M230 chaingun, or a highest velocity 30mm "upscaled bushmaster". The armor is going to be the same composite spaced armor with kevlar around the crew in any case. We've already seen bradleys shrug off T-72 main cannons.>direct weaponsA GPMG and an antitank missile does 90% of the work. A smart-fused grenade launcher would get full coverage, a little bit of software and it doubles as a light mortar.>able to do drone stuffEasiest retrofit of your life by mounting some antennas or a FO spool and running wires to a nerd sitting in the vehicle.
>>65254828aside from the lack of comma before "/k/", its a perfectly functional sentence for a native english speaker. people who only know english from colonial-era textbooks tend to freak out about about informal language, but those born with it aren't nearly so rigid.
>>65256179>mounting some antennas or a FO spoolMy mistake, the FO spool is on the drone, you just need to connect the FO cable to some transceiver, possibly a handled transceiver used by the drone operator, meaning the vehicle need only remain stationary with a hatch or port cracked open just enough for the FO cable.OP's Vehicle is really trying to do too much especially since it carries a whole infantry squad.
>>65254559Look at the modern day naval frigate or destroyer and transpose it to a land vehicle (in terms of design principles, not size). The current MBT is a battleship and the war in Ukraine is its WW2 moment.
>>65256184Are you telling me OP isnt some ESL?
>>65256184Fucking esl. A sentence needs SVO. OP's sentence is literally VSO. This isn't fucking english.
>>65254828It's a riff on "riddle me this", not noticing which makes you the ESL here
>>65256179>We've already seen bradleys shrug off T-72 main cannons.Lol no what kind of drugs are you on? A 125 mm APFSDS will go trough a Bradley front to back. A Bradley _may_ have a chance surviving a 125 mm tube launched ATGM or a 125 mm FS-HEAT if it does not hit in a critical area because it will get penetrated. F.ex an ukie CV9040 on a fire support mission took a 125 mm HEAT in the rear straight into the empty fighting compartment. Zero casulties. But you cant count on such combinations of threat, angle, armor and luck all the time. There was a moron amerianon in another thread who claimed that tritium is a fissile material, this claim is in the same league. The modern american male is ignorant about basic physics and technology and thinks that if he makes some retarded impossible physics claim on social media it becomes true because he thinks everyone else is also as ignorant as him so who is going to challenge his bluster? t. euro
