The gators not already latched and death rolling will retreat when shot and then you use your large ammunition reserve to shoot the gators around your rapidly dismembering child until you approach near enough and the death roll slows enough for you to make accurate finishing shots and retrieve what remains of your child.The volume of shots available is far more important than the actual caliber because you need to clear the pit and then finish the latched gator(s)
