A Hisar-class offshore patrol vessel was delivered to the Romanian Navy today, marking the first time Turkey has exported a naval ship to a NATO member. Two other vessels for the Portuguese are being constructed. Previously, Turkey has built corvettes for Ukraine, Pakistan, Malaysia and Indonesia and numerous other countries.
I know next to nothing about ships, but should the plate on the side look like it's paper thin?
>>65257919Yeah. Shrinkage on the hull is normal. It's a water temp vs internal temp thing. Modern warship hulls aren't that thick as they're akin to biological invertebrates (tough on the inside).

>>65257900Huhuhuh that's ships called the ass fatHehehe yeah, lose some weight fat ass
>>65257919Modern warships have no armor other than some anti frags around critical areas.
>>65257900>ass fat>rocket-sanmost unserious military industrial complex award
>>65257900I don't know what we need a corvette for. Money would've been better spent on naval drones.
>>65261062>I don't know what we need a corvette for. In this specific case, dem bribes. Theoretically, Romania needs about 6 corvettes to patrol the oil&gas patch against zigger saboteurs. But this overgrown OPV ain't it.
This vessel has been exported to 7 countries by now. It's a successful platform.
