In the market for a 12GA shotty, many recommend either Benelli M4, Beretta 1301 for top contenders or if I wanna pay for some bang for the buck the A300.Are there other great options?
>>65259289Gonna need more information on your motivations chief otherwise I’m gonna tell you to get a stoeger side-by-side like Joe Biden intended
>>65259296Reliable punch-a-hole through your chest stick that can run a variety of ammo without malfunction and can be modded to some extent.
>>652592891301, Benelli looks cool, but you would have to pay a premium for non-cuck version, along any aftermarket stuff to comepete with a 1301
>>65259313>that can run a variety of ammo without malfunctionIn that case, the anon above you is right; break-action shotguns are the least ammo-finicky shotguns in existence. You can run ammo that'll make any semi-auto shotgun jam.
>>65259313If you’re looking for reliability, I’d look at pump actions instead of semi autos. The Mossberg 590A1 fits perfectly into your price bracket and they have a stellar track record for reliability and durability
>>65259385They’re also plenty modular. Not to AR15 levels, but being one of the most popular shotguns in America means there’s a huge aftermarket.
>>65259289father in law has a 1301 c tactical in fde, big dick energy and he said i get that one when he dies. that one
>>65259385>>65259401also you can affix a bayonet to them
>>65259289Get a Benelli M3. It's a couple hundred dollars cheaper than the M4 and you can shoot anything from bird shot bean bags and flechettes to 3" slugs as fast as they can possibly be shot because you can switch from semi to pump as necessary. They have a good reputation for reliability in both semi and pump action too.
>>65259289Lotta gun for five hunnerd bucks. Likes 3" mags = not dead reliable with 2.75 especially light loads. Can't remember what I paid for the 20-drums. Lubed with MOS2 powder they feed perfect. Yes it's a tad heavy and fairly awkward when full of Threes. i know its a cheap gun but i am an engine man no problem for me. Use wrong lube = GRP fore end might delaminate over time. Wear items that must be replaced before they fail = rubber o-rings on the gas piston and rubber bolt-carrier buffer. Soaks up recoil better than my Auto-5, Model 11 and my 1100 despite being much lighter. Not pictured: = Green cutting laser, battery pack in stock = not picking me outta no lineup, lol.
>>65259659>turkshit
>>65259659Based beyond belief. I have a VRPA-40 with over 1.5k shells through it, pump action equivalent to your VR-60. Works flawlessly with Defenceport magazines and turkish slugs.>>65260427Cringe garanddaddy "muh burndown test" slopper
>>65259296Kek>just go out in the balcony of your summer lake cabin and blast 2 shots in the air!
>>65260556In my state that’s grounds for a brandishing charge. Thank you Joe very cool
How is the Mossberg 990 in terms of reliability? How does it do with lighter birdshot?
1301 is the most comfortable, natural-feeling non-pistol grip gun I've ever held. I really wish I'd bought one when they were like $1,200 instead of the $2k+ they are now.
>>65259289just get an AR it mogs fuddguns hard
>>65260556Sorry about your dad, anon
>>65265278Do you know where I can get an AR chambered in 12 ga?
