If you intend to shoot almost entirely inexpensive 115gr, set the gun up for that end of the spectrum. If you intend to mostly use a silencer then you'll be using 147gr so set it up for that. Either could probably do fine with 124gr normal power in the middle. You just wouldn't be able to, for example, go from 147gr suppressed to 115gr unsuppressed safely with the same locking piece on a k.Most of my info is k-focused but iirc most of the cheaper copies use 110-125 degree locking pieces which favor lighter ammo and no silencer, but you can get locking pieces for $40 from Rim County which is a bargoon (plus rollers where applicable, the locking piece will probably require a roller swap too to maintain bolt gap spec)My silencer knowledge is pretty old at this point. Flow through designs have come a LONG way since they used to have a huge sound reduction tradeoff. I know there are 2-3 very good ones that still perform pretty well without adding much backpressure. The Cash9 comes to mind but there are others. You can check Pew Science I guess. Using such a silencer might allow you to skirt the locking spot sweet spot slightly more
Full size for me. I tried a K style grip installed about the same distance it would be on a legit K on my full size MP5 clone and it was way too cramped of a shooting position for my liking. I'm not operating operationally so comfort plays a big role in my setups instead of making myself the smallest target possible while still being able to shoot at paper targets.

Buy the real thing!" but I've watched every, EVERY fucking AP5 video on youtube and everyone either says it's walk on water perfect or a POS that needs all the parts replaced by HK!
