I don't see how the PLA can realistically invade and capture Taiwan now. Whatever advantages they enjoyed in men and materiel are subject to drone strike. Hell, Beijing is within striking distance from Taipei.

Do some hybrid warfare on Taiwan to make the population more desperate, some agents attack the energy grid etc., maybe some spies in high places, then attack.China has always framed the Taiwan issues as an internal China one i.e. a breakaway province they want to get back into the fold and not an international conflict between two states, so with some clever PR/bribes, they could get most international countries to back off. Or they simply be so fast in their invasion, that they fait accompli the whole thing (like the fears of a Russian invasion in the baltics) and the Taiwan friendly countries would then face a sea based invasion of their own vs China
Taiwan is thoroughly infiltrated. Every installation, every building, every person of importance will be taken out internally by sleeper agents and pre-positioned assets like drone swarms in shipping containers.
