Most negligent discharges in the United States purportedly occur when someone is trying to clean their firearm>Be Glock >Most popular striker slop pistol in the US>Requires you to pull the trigger in order to field strip>???>It’s just a coincidence goy! Even a High Point “Yeet Cannon” doesn’t have an issue so glaringly obvious in its design, let alone one that puts the operator at direct risk of death through normal usage of the pistol. Really makes you think…
>>65272689only a problem if you're retarded or a cop, but I repeat myself
>>65272690So the average Glock owner? This employee at my LGS always tells the story about how he had to take his friend to the hospital because he shot himself in the leg disassembling a Glock. He’s a thorough bred sigger though.
>>65272689>I am incapable of ensuring my firearm is unloaded.not much to do about that.
>>65272718>J-just don’t be a retard!!!>G-g-glock perfection! You don’t need to follow the basic rules of firearm safety when you own a Glock!!!
>>65272689>step 1: dont be retarded>step 2: if you failed step 1 then just check the chamber without a magazine loadedAlso i have a gen 3 g23 and a polymer 80 and neither of them need the trigger pulled to take the slide off. People always talk about this like its something you have to do meanwhile i pull the slide back like 1/8 an inch, push the tabs down and then push the slide forward 100% of the time with no problem, never pulling the trigger because the striker isnt tensioned
>>65272752That just means your springs are weak and need to be replaced before you start getting soft strikes
>>65272689Mosins have the same less than ideal feature
>>65272752It's more that the procedure isn't idiot proof, which is less than ideal when it comes to firearmsIt's not hard to go from 1. rack the slide to check if empty 2. pull trigger to 1. pull trigger if you're tired
>>65272689Most negligent discharges occur when people are fucking around with their gun, but they say they were cleaning it.
The P2000 and P2000SK are the most SUPERIOR pistol designs. I know that much. Should’ve killed the Glock 19 and 26. >DA/SA configuration for the patrician >LEM/CDA for the discerning striker slop enjoyer who requires “the same trigger pull every time”>USP built toughness and reliability, but with vastly improved ergonomics and shaped not to snag. >makes .40 feel like a 9mm (in a larger gun), makes 9mm feel like a .22>safest pistol design on the market>highest build quality and most reliable by a mile (USP genetics + second strike capability and no “limp wrist” gun malfunctions…)
>>65272737>muh reddit finger humiliation ritual for POGs who don't know the muzzle from their asshole
>>65273325>image of soldier holding decocked SA gun by the trigger. This is like seeing an empty chamber, you visually see that the pistol is safe if it’s decocked. Nobody should or would do that with the hammer down. """"Reddit finger"""" keeps retards, including professional retards safe from accidents and a (service) pistol that requires you to break half of the idiot proof rules is simply an inferior design when alternatives exist. Even so, non retards can become retarded in extreme conditions, so a retard proof design should always be preferred anyway.
>>65273348so it is in fact, OK to have your finger on the trigger in certain circumstances? Why is everyone bitching about Glock takedown then
>>65272689Glocks are my favorite carry guns. But as a non retard I can admit that having to pull the trigger to disassemble the gun is a massive design flaw similar to designing a car that requires you to turn it on and set a cinder block on the gas pedal to pop the hood. You can say "you're supposed to put it in neutral first!" All you want but it's just a legitimately retarded design choice that should have never been allowed even at the prototype phase. Just look at any factory, machine shop, or other dangerous equipment that people are expected to work and live around on a regular basis. Redundant safeties simply work and the safety rules requiring them are written in blood.
Why exactly is this an issue? Is removing the mag and emptying the chamber too complicated? I thought this shit was the fucking standard
>>65272689How to clean [insert weapon name here]:1. Ensure that the firearm is unloaded.>every firearm cleaning procedure ever written
>>65273318HK triggers are dogshit and their build quality sucks.
>>65273419>build quality sucks ass>HK trigger badEasiest way to filter yourself out as a nogunz or just a retard with women hands and fingers. Even a nogunz should know HKs reputation regarding build quality though.
>>65272691so funny that Sig's official standpoint is "our customers are well-known to be such fucking drooling retards that it's entirely reasonable to expect them to shoot themselves more than non-siggers"
>>65273318Honestly I've found every HK handgun I've shot to be severely mid. The huge ass slide release levers getting in the way of a proper high and tight grip(at least for me)is the real deal breaker
>>65272689> Even a High Point “Yeet Cannon” doesn’t have an issue so glaringly obvious in its design, let alone one that puts the operator at direct risk of death through normal usage of the pistol. The fucking firing pin on the hi-point is literally the ejector, maybe you should do some research before you spew bullshit on gun design nogunz
>>65272689>No safetyS&W boomers win again
Lmao he deleted that retarded reply lol
>>65272689you can't say you're an "experienced firearms handler" until you've had a "huh?!?, I could've swore my gun was unloaded" moment.
>>65274824For any who wants to know what OP said, before he deleted it. He said something on the lines of >X is just like Y>so that means its more dangerous(?)while replying to >>65274797Or Something like that, I hope I’m straw-manning him. Maybe he’ll come out and say some more dumb shit. Just because you have a gun doesn’t mean you know shit about guns.
>>65272689>when someone is trying to clean their firearmOr it's easier to say "oh yeah I was just trying to clean it" instead of admitting you are retarded
>>65272931I had a mosin fire when I took it off safety, I didn’t even know it had a safe til I watched a YouTube video showing it, so I tried the safe next time I went shooting and it instantly shot when I took it off safe
>>65272737
>>65272689The biggest flaw of the Glogg is that they grenade sometimes and embarrass the company during the FBI testing phase.
>>65274819M&P's without manual safety are more popular.
