I JUST WANT AMMO PRICES TO GO BACK TO PRE-COVID LEVELS.
PLEASE.

It’s called inflation kiddo, get used to it. It’s the only other consistent thing in life other than death and taxes.
>>
>>65275299
Not happening until the Day of the Pillow. Even then, there's gonna be plenty of Xoomers and Millenials taking up the mantle of 'I know what i got sonny."
>>
>why thing cost more now than in past?!?!?!
>>
>>65275299
>I JUST WANT AMMO PRICES TO GO BACK TO PRE-COVID LEVELS.
its already at that if you take into account inflation. hell ammo got off easy if you compare that shit to mcdonalds and other fastfood. 20-30% increase vs 200%
>>
>>65275300
One could argue it's just another tax on the common man.
>>
>>65275299
this is the new normal. even when day of the pillow happen expect some gay law about confiscating dead boomer ammo and blowing it up instead of being able to resell it for safety or some horse shit.
also i have an 01 tahoe and i'm going to drive that sexy bitch to death

Honestly true. Ammo prices suck, yes, but if you take a look around other things have increased much worse. Taco Bell is inflated through the roof and for what you buy at McDonald’s you can get a better meal at a sit down place for a similar price

copper prices are not expected to drop any time soon
not because of any wars, but electric cars and data centers
so your resentment is a bit misplaced

>be common man
>buy house for $200k
>sell it 20 years later for $500k
it's only a tax if you hoard cash instead of assets
>>
>>65276713
Why dont american cartridge makers use steel case.
>>
>>65276786
Damn I should have bought a house for 200k in 1994 instead of shitting my diapers.
>>
>>65275299
It's never going to happen. Find a reloading setup from a boomer who died or realizes his kids will not respect his legacy.

property will continue to increase in value, retard
if you can't afford property, then you can invest in anything else. the only important thing is to not sit on a pile of cash savings while it evaporates.

There likely won't be a sudden collapse but prices have stagnated and slightly declined over the last year. Grossly over-inflated values after COVID will slowly stabilize over the next five to ten years barring artificial interference.

Enjoy selling your house to the banks I guess. No one's buying your 600k run down 1980s build house in a mediocre suburb. Incomes aren't keeping up at all with housing prices.
>>
>>65277294
The only option for selling besides from Blackrock firms and banks would be the US Federal Government if they were in the business of paying big to homeowners and selling for a loss to families or giving them to distinguished veterans.
>>
>>65275299
While I oppose all this military adventurism and a lot of the their financial initiatives that gave us inflation, I want prices to go down for the right reasons. To demand a reduction in price for the sake of lower numbers implies you would support an unjustified war if it means you are given a special discount on your favorite ammo.

The homeowners who planned for their retirements to require receiving a 5x/decade price increase on their house will continue to vote for intervention to maintain their gravy train, they’ve been doing it for 40 years now and only true disasters have ever caused homeownership to occasionally become affordable to single income median earners.

Their “investment” will remain safe at the cost of the nation’s future indefinitely.

The only issue is that these same policies have depressed wages and eventually the middle class in America will collapse, which basically ruins the economy as it is now. They're gambling on selling their house to the limited market out there before the whole market collapses.
>>
>>65277329
some stagnation makes a lot of sense considering the world situation. Anecdotally, the price of my home has increased 15% since 2024

>>65277332
>Incomes aren't keeping up at all with housing prices
they aren't keeping up with rent, either. But if you bought a house today (assuming fixed), you'd be locked in at the same exact monthly payment until 2056 while renters get endlessly juiced by private equity and the property management market. You don't need to sell your home for it to be enormously advantageous.

Economic collapse means hyperinflation. Hyperinflation means your house was free.

If you know the economy is headed for the shitter, you WANT a mortgage. That's the whole thing about inflation: it evaporates cash, AND it evaporates debt. That's the fundamental axis around which the entire economy revolves.
>>
>>65276967
my house i bought 7 years ago has doubled in price.
not that i'll ever sell, i'm locked in with a 2.8% rate lol
>>
>>65275299
i want to be able to buy new chinese made guns and ammo
>>
>>65275321
Bullshit. 5.56 was 33 cpr for brass cased in 2020 and can barely be found for 50 cpr now. That's a +50% price increase. Not even rent or home prices inflated by that much.

33 cents in 2020 is 43 cents in 2026 with inflation
50 cents a bullet is not a 50% price increase its still under 20%.
>>
>>65275299
Me too, anon.
I was one of the 2020 panic buyers and got into guns through that.
I'm priced out of combloc stuff, but oh well.
I'm an AR man, but I'm temped by AK stuff, but I'd rather have another AR because of parts and ammo availability.

>>65275548
You better watch yourself.
People on this board get really, really angry if you say anything bad about the heckin' boomers.

You may not want to care but too fucking bad OP, it affects us all anyway. Government demand is massively up worldwide, cold war surplus is 100% ded, and zero new smokeless powder factories have been constructed (though I believe a new primer plant has finally come online in the last year or two?). At any rate though, QED. Production is already maxed. Prices can only drop if demand drops or if new production capacity happens. There won't be any demand drop without a new age of peace. Good fucking luck.

>its already at that if you take into account inflation
what a weird cope. Why do people keep saying inflation is the reason for high prices when its just people raising prices to make more money from their paypigs
