Have civilians go into the sea and link arms, forming a bridge like what ants do to cross small streams. Dastardly crests wont attack a bridge made up of women and children. Small downside is that you wouldnt be able to move vehicles or even larger pack animals across the zigger-ant bridge. I propose Llama are used instead as beasts of burden.

Can’t send supplies by sea, ships will get droned
Can’t send supplies by road or rail, will get droned
Kerch strait and North Crimea natural choke points
Could maybe do air-lift but dose Russia have the aircraft or resources to pull it off?
I think form a military point of view you can’t and your best option is to withdraw, but that not going to happen is it because this is a political decision and Crimea is a major political linchpin in the psyche.
So Crimea will become total zigger death spiral for the Russian Empire as Vladchimp Monkey keeps pouring resources into it.

I don't think Zelensky is completely trolling when he says "let's freeze the front line and then hash this out in a neutral country". But since Russia is still currently demanding maximalist things and Ukraine being disarmed and isolated for round two, cowabunga it is then. Of course ideally Russia should be reduced to its 1991 borders, but that's the domain of a major upheaval within Russia and trying to time one of those is folly.

Alternatively, separate it from both. Make Crimea its own country and have it be a UN Mandate or something.

I totally agree it should go back to 1991 borders. But Sunk Cost Fallacy writ large here with Russia and Putin is very much in the mode of 'I don't care, we'll get it eventually'. Anything which isn't air defence, and now also air defence, are just cannon fodder for drones right now.

Scrounge together whatever AA I can from regions that aren't along the frontline and station them all in Crimea, while hoping some the assortment of -stans doesn't stab me in the back.
Alternatively, bite the political bullet and order mass mobilization despite the tremendous discontent it will cause and put pressure somewhere else along the front to distract from Crimea.
Final option, would be to just stick my head in the sand and wait it out. The drone spam has to stop at some point and people aren't quite yet starving to death for probably another couple of months; worse case scenario there will be a mass exodus of civilians on foot but Ukraine will be unable to actually militarily retake the region, so it will be a political disaster but a military stalemate.

>>
>>65276184
Isn't the problem right now basically that Crimea is too close to Ukrainian-held parts of the country, and is under constant attack from cheap medium range drones that have already destroyed countless pieces of AA equipment?
Of course, they have to keep feeding in a slow trickle of AA anyway, because if the southern front loses all AA coverage, the Ukrainian Air Force might join the total logistics death operation. At which point the frontline will probably collapse.
>>
>>65276203
I've been saying it for years now, drones are all well and good in contested airspace but fast jets remain the apex predators of the battlefield

>>
>>65276203
Well, yeah. The current drone spam is allowed to happen because Ukraine spent the better part of a year meticulously chipping away at Russian air defenses. Russians could probably shore up the defense again, but that would come at the cost of leaving border regions completely defenseless (or wherever they'd have to pull the remaining AA from).
That's probably why they're not doing it and just waiting it out instead, but I'm just saying that if I was the supreme commander I'd take the risk.

>>
>>65276184
>The drone spam has to stop at some point
Why?

>Ukraine will be unable to actually militarily retake the region, so it will be a political disaster but a military stalemate
Without resupply and reinforcement, in-place units will desert, surrender, or be attrited.
They won't be able to defend the minefields and Ukraine can breach the defensive lines at their leisure.
>>

>Ukranzania and it's supporters are blood thirsty maniacs

>25mm
My condolences, Anon...
>>
>>65276233
Of course not, but if they really shored up their defenses it could maybe stabilize the situation and buy them another 6 to 9 months. That doesn't really solve anything, but Russia has been kicking the can down the road this entire war, so it's one of those "we'll cross that bridge when we get there" type of situations.
>>65276241
>Why?
I don't know. I'm just trying to place myself in the shoes of Russian command, and be mindlessly optimistic.
>Ukraine can breach the defensive lines at their leisure.
No because they'll just get counter drone/rocket spammed from (relatively) nearby Russian positions. Even if the Russians retreat, Crimea would be no-man's land at best.

>>65275900
>announced on his telegram channel
isn't telegram illegal to use because the owner bailed from russia
>>
>>65276209
Yup. I don't think the Ukies are going to risk their precious jets while the possibility of AA firing at them exists.
However, if the AA degrades to a point where they can toss US & Euro precision munitions at Russian logistics as they please, the frontline is going to see new degrees of fucked, new recursions of ass in the ass, etc. Even Russians probably have a limit for how long they can subsist on grass and cholera-laden shit water.

A short-term surge in AA efforts might delay that for some time. Despite what some might claim, plenty of those drones are shot down.
But they'd still need a plan to win in some other way, because bringing more AA in there to get attrited won't accomplish that.

>>
>>65276267
I dont know much about how AA works, but what is preventing Ukrainian Jets from climbing to 10k feet, and launching their missiles at specific targets close to the front lines? Higher elevations, closer to the front, the further a missile can go into Russian territory.
Dont they have AA counter measures? Even if S300/400 launches, dont they have like 8 warnings? Are these jets not able to outrun a missile launched from 100km away?
Why are they always "staying under the radar" wouldnt the superior F16 have far better missile evading characteristics to bait Russian missiles, while a second jet fires on the launch site, or at least multiple drones can be sent?
>>
>>65276257
>they'll just get counter drone/rocket spammed from (relatively) nearby Russian positions.

Scientists simply don't know.

>wouldnt the superior F16 have far better missile evading characteristics to bait Russian missiles, while a second jet fires on the launch site
By treaty, only the F/A-18G is allowed to do that.
>>
>>65276291
They're already tossing all sorts of stuff from a reasonably safe distance. There are videos of precision munitions (e.g. the French-made AASM) destroying high-value targets like command centers and drone operator hideouts near the contested zone.
To hit targets further behind the lines, the jets would have to climb up perilously close to the line, and expose themselves to radar detection and AA fire. The chances of the AA missile finding its target are not zero in that situation.
>>
>>65276206
That's fine. Then Ukraine will just continue the dronings until Russia is forced to stop by way of ceasing to exist as a nationstate.

Every time I look at a map of Russia I am just utterly baffled by why they feel the need to commit national suicide for some clay when they have such a truly massive amount of undeveloped land that they could spend the next 200 years purely colonizing their own territory and come out of it a true superpower instead of a petrol kleptostate.
Imagine Monke's legacy if instead of sending over a million men to die for nothing he sent a million men to start building infrastructure in the east, giving them land Roman style for their labor.
Western corporations would be licking his platform shoes for the chance to get in on the resources there, and if they actually built a modern rail line from Vladivostok to St Petersburg they would basically have a money printer that would make their national gas station look like a bag of cheetos as payment for the blood of their sons purely from the shipping of goods from China/Japan/Korea to Europe that otherwise needs to sail around the entire continent, not to mention the strategic and domestic benefits it would have.

You really don't understand Russia.
Ask yourself, what made it so big and unwieldy in the first place?
It is an opportunistic empire that tries to conquer everything around it.
Even if the new additions are detrimental to the empire itself.

It's basically a cancer. It just tries to grow uncontrollably, even if that kills it.
>>
>>65276630
It's a nice idea, but you're forgetting that we're talking about russians here. Constructing something truly modern, useful, and robust is a bridge too far for them, much like the Kerch bridge for which they brought Dutch engineers to help build it.

And even if they did somehow not embezzle & ruin the construction of it with their incessant corruption, it would eventually still fall to ruin as maintenance is a foreign concept for ziggers. I doubt even an Enlightened Monke could whip the fucks to do a good job, and keep doing it.

Destruction is all ziggers know. Monke knows this, and so does any zigger ruler. So if they want to "advance" as a "civilization," their only option is to try to achieve that by being the biggest faggots on Earth to everyone near them. It's good that they are so fucking inept at it also.
>>

>I really don't understand why Putin didn't overrule Yanukovych when he walked back on starting the EU accession process.
Yanukovich walked back specifically due to Putin's pressure.
That's the fun part of the whole story: majority of the business interests which were supporting Yanukovich (Akhmetov and other corrupt oligarch faggots like him) were pro-EU, because that's where their interests were, namely in the access to better markets, financial resources, rule of law, property rights and all that. Do you think people like Akhmetov would prefer to live in Russia/Belarus, where their property and assets could be stripped away willy nilly because some faggot said so? Nah, all of those men want western institutions.

Another funny thing is every platform that tries to teach Russian to foreigners is completely infested by native speaking Russians by a ratio of like 3:1 per actual learners, mostly because not many people learn Russian and because...I guess they just go wherever?

Bunch of drones hit prisoner centers, they are out of gasoline and supplies for power. Cell phone towers, grain storage, are all hit. Hit the big targets. Power stations there are kind of pointless to hit because everyone has generators. So hit gasoline and natural gas storage. Probably 4-5 k Ukraine prisoners running around and the power is out most of the day, comms are bad gasoline is being rationed - bad. They need have gasoline and natural gas because of all the trade happening at this time of the year. They don’t. It’s a 10 to 50 billion dollar loss if they don’t fix it. Then it will cascade down. No ports running now jobs no jobs no money meaning crime on the border of ww1 with drones. You can’t get logistics there if that happens the bandits will just steal them and split the money with the officer who allowed it and will hide 5 million in ak 47 rounds missing in 500 million and claim they got wet or some shit. Iranians refusing to bow out fucked up Putin. Most likely he leaked atomic break throughs which caused the meeting of all the top Iranian brass and leaders which resulted in them all getting blown up which started the entire thing. The problem is Iranians are just waiting it out and orange man won’t put the hammer down because he knows shit goes sideways.

I'm old enough to remember waiting in gas lines like that in the 1970's (I was the kid in the back seat). Maybe the Russians should do the thing where the last digits on your license plate determines which day you can buy gasoline? Seems like that would help alleviate congestion, since on July 1 only plates ending in 01 can buy fuel, on July 2 only plates ending in 02 gan buy fuel, etc. Plates ending in 32-99 will have their sacrifice remembered in the histories of this struggle &c

The main question is whether it’ll fall quickly this summer like Kharkov or be drawn out into the winter. I think it’ll be the former.

Putin is already pulling every AA he can to Moscow. The rest will be spread out too thin to protect the front against those new Ukrainian glide bombs, and be taken out eventually.

But at this rate, putins position will become untenable, Crimea just has to fall and the deep penetration into/of moscow by drones has to continue for a while

>What stage of missile production even uses helium?
I can't speak to the missiles themselves but it's irreplaceable for nanometer-scale semiconductor manufacture, which is kind of important for a domestic weapons industry and something you REALLY don't want to farm out if you can help it.
>>
>>65277262
>What stage of missile production even uses helium?
Can't say for solid fuel rockets, but in liquid fuel missiles it's often used for pressurizing fuel and oxidizer tanks, purging those same systems before they'll get fueled, for leak testing during manufacturing and more rare even for cooling.
