What power level do you guys like to use when shooting your AK?
>>65322453Depends on the range. The longer the range, the higher the power you need to hit your target
>>65322482I thought it was about seeing the pain on your enemy's face as you vanquish hiFar away you can't see nothing, may as well get it over with promptly

>>65322453I always max out the damage gauge so my bullets kill stuff more deader.

>>65323294>ak sights are better than m4 sightsHave you ever seen an ak shooter use the sights to aim? I know they set the power lever with them.
>>65322453"ะป" seems to be a good balance of power and accuracy in my experience I never seem to hit anything past power level 5 anyway
>>65322635turn of the century military tacticians were absolutely convinced that battles of the future would be fought by arcing rifle shots over miles like naval engagements or artillery
>>65322453Why would you ever shoot with them set to anything other than max power? This never made sense to me.
>>65323711I can't blame them, they were merely extrapolating from previous trends. Of course it turned out machine guns (and more impactfully) artillery took care of that part. Supposedly, some parts of battles of the Franco-Prussian War fought like that, entire regiments of infantry arcing fire into each other from massive ranges.
>>65324762overpenetration. If you have it turned all the way up, the bullet doesn't get a chance to maximize damage to a target and it hits the terrain behind it. Its also really hard on the gun as it causes excess wear and tear. However, this is really useful when you are actually trying to hit a second target behind the first. You really hurt the first guy while still getting max damage on the guy you were targeting. its a noob mistake to leave the power on max but its really nice to have when you need it.
