Indoor shooting is fucking miserable, but with berms are inherently limited in size.

Bullets can always bounce and they are going over the berm(with much less energy)
If you are doing rapid fire at any reasonable range you eventually will sail one over the top.
So how the hell do you do it right? What is the practical solution for building a berm.

And before you say "just build it bigger" here in NC we had a private range that was set up in an old open mine so the targets were up against a 40+ foot stone face and the news team was still able to find bullets that had bounced out at the top.

Ps this has nothing to do with my county shitting in my home range for improper setup.

Build it 41 feet tall

Checked
Fuck why didn't we think of that?
>>

Rent a backhoe, dig out the bay, use the new dirt to build up the berm and now have double the height

Ahh yes a 200yard long 20 foot deep trench that fills with mud and water, what a fantastic range idea.
It would work for the back stop of a pistol range but even they you would be shooting down.

>Mud
Wear boots ya sissy

>fills with water
I present you with le french drain

Can't put in a French drain when you are already digging into the ground substantially unless you are on a ridge.

Your issue is that the wall is not high enough, bullet goes over
Simple solution
Go up, shoot down
Earth wall is infinite
>>
>>65323797
Put a roof over to catch bullets going up. And some walls to the left, right and back to prevent them going in other directions.

basically you put big wooden beams above the range that can absorb the bullets between the firing line and the target line. Do some math so that they are spaced such that it is impossible for the bullet to leave the range without running into something.

it works pretty well but bear in mind "news teams" will just fucking lie if they can't find any real bullets which is probably what happened with your local range
>>
My allegedly straight friend james railed his twunk ex on a berm at this local state range after closing and I could still see the poop stains on the wood months later.

I know he's married to a woman, but no one believes James Reeves is straight, especially when it comes to Hop
>>
>>65326211
Now that's a fucking answer.
Flawed but dramatically better.

Down doesn't stop bullets bouncing out. They might be moving like a softball by the time they escape but that is all someone needs to take you to court.
