Explain RIGHT NOW how bronze, copper or nylon brushes would damage a hardened steel barrel but only on the crown. Oh thats right, you fookin cant ye, you fookin cant so SHUT yer fookin mouth right now
>>65327701Didn't that guy blow his leg up going for baby's first high kick the other day?
>>65327709Didnt land a GLOVE on me in the first foight, not gonna land a glove on me this fight neither ye
>>65327701who is this faggot?
>>65327722A washed bitch
Same way you can strop a knife with a strip of leather retard
>>65327701didn't I watch this guy lose 3 times in a row?
fuck yamudda
>>65328030Thats to say YA FOOKIN CANT YE, mad fool of a ting ya mad ding dong of a ting ye
>>65327701Millwright here, soft material gets imbedded with silica dust (hard material) so carbon fiber rods or whatever can cut metal, the crown even with a little wear ruins accuracy
>>65328495>millwright>presenting himself as an expertYeah lets ask a janitor on an oil rig what they think about specific parts of the oil drilling process
>>65327709no, the leg was already fuckedhe did the goofy ass high kick to create the excuse he needed to get paid
>Loses 4 out of last 5 fights in you're pathLol, lmao, kwab.
>>65327701I gotta go back and check the /heem/ threads for this shitshow
>>65327701I sharpen my straight razer on a piece of leather. However as explaining a complex prosses to a stupid man is the mark of a true master. I fookin cant. I just know you fookin can do it.
>>65327701The crown is the last thing that touches the bullet as it leaves the barrel, so it’s very sensitive. The crown is an edge, and an edge can get pushed around or chip on a microscopic level if you fuck with it too much. How’d I do?
No one has ever recorded verifiable proof of a rifle bore being "destroyed" by the use of a sectional steel cleaning rod.
>>65328608Kek this.Plebs should know their place
>>65327709literally got paid 15 million dollars for that
>>65328608I'm pretty sure a millbillie is qualified to speak on firearm barrels.Guns aren't that complex, it's a fucking pipe that gets hot and sends something away. Even the simplest 2 stroke single piston engine is more complex than a gun.
>>65327701>Material hardness is basically a measure of how hard they can get pushed on, before the atoms start to fall over.>Bronze, copper or nylon are in a shoving match with Steel.>Now Steel can get shoved on a lot harder than bronze, copper or nylon can, so he wins the shoving match.>But shoving is cumulative, and he's being shoved too.>And that keeps happening.>Now he's also being shoved back by the steel behind him, so it's not an issue so much in the barrel. But the Mr Steel at the end doesn't have any steel around him to butt up against.>So eventually, he gets shoved back. And that's how you get crown damage if you use too coarse a brush.
>>65329665>push on a tiny little bristle brush with all your gay little muscular force>"owie zowie im gonna damage my heckin barrelerino!">use hot gas to pressure seal a copper coated projectile and launch it at incredible speeds down the length of the barrel>"..."Thousands of rounds down the barrel vs you pushing soft bristles down the bore with your baby hands, sure thing bud
>>65328925You don't wear down the metal on your razor with the belt retard. You're just aligning any burs left on the blade with the edge.
>>65327701Chrome lined barrels.
>>65329853Irrelevant. Metal is being reshaped.
>>65330745There's no burs in the barrel to twist back and forth you fucking dumbass.
>>65327701>It's harder so it's impervious to the other material!Holy fucking smoothbrain
The main way you damage your barrel, is by putting it under incredibly extreme internal pressure, to launch metal projectiles through it at 3,000 feet per second.Could you cause a bit of damage by cleaning it?I guess so.But it's pretty minimal compared to actually shooting your guns./k/ doesn't shoot their guns though, so I guess I understand why this is such a big deal for you faggotsThe whole question reminds me of someone with a PVS-14 saying "o fuck, i accidentally looked at a street light with my heckin nods!!!! Is it damaged?! What do I doooooo????????"With fags in the thread suggesting all kinds of voodoo to "mitigate the damage"Then those same fuckniggers go larp around their apartment with a bright af IR illuminator, shining on their bare white walls from 2 feet away.
>>65329766My baby hands broke a steel grip exerciser a couple of months ago.The steel snapped at an angle leaving a nice sharp spike where one of the grips used to be.Granted, I had been using that thing for years and it was one of my lighter ones I was just using to keep my hands busy while hanging out with friends. But that just shows that cumulative wear WILL fuck up steel.
>>65333931>mild steel that you slightly bend over and over again broke eventually>this shows us concretely that a soft bronze bristle WILL damage a hardened steel surface when dragged in a straight line across it
>>65334324Hardening isn't magic, anon.Water will carve away that hardened steel surface given enough force and time. You are wearing the inside of the barrel with each stroke of that bronze brush, it's just that it's not enough to make any difference. The crown makes much more of a difference with tiny changes and wears faster because it's not supported by material on all sides. You probably haven't seen minor mechanical wear add up to any significant degree because you're 12 and spend all your time on the internet. Work with machines, you'll see it happen with cars and industrial equipment too.
>>65334349>your barrel WILL wear from the bronze brushYou could scrub your bore 12 hours a day every day for a month and it would be less wear than shooting a couple magazines. Stop it and get some help, you dont need to plant your feet into the mud, you can step out and wipe the muck off your feet
>>65334370The bullets will mostly wear the lands of the rifling, where the wear won't really make any difference. The crown is different.
