Why don't I ever see criminals use these on their guns?

Real niggas load up with nitrite gloves, a big brain nigga lets someone else load them for you.

You got a pillow case? Same thing.
>>
>>65329188
because the gun will get tossed in the lake/river/ocean
>>

criminals are retards
>>
>>65329188
Most criminals tend to be low IQ
>>
>>65329188
Because smart ones dont get caught

Due to the Jurrasic Park news, it makes you wonder how many movies use catchers.

I don't think you need a bag to catch from revolvers friend
>>
>>65329537
That's his point, tard-kun
>>
>>65329188
Black people put these on their guns to LARP and no one who actually go around shooting at da opps has this gay shit on their guns
>>
>>65329188
Criminals aren't the most intelligent of people
Also without that thing (and disproving evidence) you could argue it was self defense, with it it hard to not justify it as premeditated
>>
>>65329541
>tard-kun
Bad news, Anon.
>>
sheeeeeeeeeeit muh fangaprantz be on dem bullets dawg
>>
because fingerprinting cases is actually difficult since they expand and heat up when fired. also we haven't done microstamping in decades.
>>
>>65329188
Good luck keeping that in a holster or near your bbc
>>
>>65329188
criminals don't think about fingerprints on the brass
>>
>>65329188
Smart criminals stick to white collar crime. Payoff is better and you're less likely to be shot.
>>
>>65329188
Because it doesn't matter.
>>
>>65329216
>>65329938
>>65330125
Holy fuck how old are you all? Ever heard of forensics that match the striking pin and matching the casing marks to the barrel. Must be browns on today.
>>
>>65330312
None of that shit is real. All the ballistic forensics pseudo science is made up. At best they can match to a particular kind of gun, but in reality all they can reliably tell is what caliber the cartridge is.

They'd probably get that wrong 50% of the time if it wasn't stamped on the case.
>>
>>65330312
Wow we need microstamping now. Anon >>65330317 is correct. It's junk science.
>>
>>65330317
>>65330320
>i am dumb therefore its junk science
Its really not. They can match the markings to your gun and convince a jury that you are guilty. Holy fuck the hubris here
>>
>>65329188
just use a revolver at this point
>>
>>65329938
Have we ever done microstamping that works?
Either way, you're right that the heat of firing doesn't leave a lot of fingerprints behind. Removing brass has other benefits, like making shooting positions, brand / caliber used, number of rounds fired harder to determine.
>>
even if you catch the casing, they'll dig the bullet out of the victim's body and match it to your gun
>>
>>65330312
You know how many convictions have been overturned recently because it came out that all those experts were just charlatans?
>>
>>65330340
>It's really not
It really is.
>convince a jury that you are guilty
Yeah, that's the part that is a problem.

There are several major flaws with ALL ballistic forensics. One, the firearm must be recovered. Two, the firearm must have not had any amount of significant use since the shooting. Three, the vast majority of all studies on ballistic forensics lack any scientific backing, there is a total of ONE (1) that was released and peer reviewed that includes any usable data.

And of course, unless the case was very high profile, zero forensic work will actually be done.

>>65330358
They can't do that either. It's made up.
>>
>>65329188
ah hell naw nigga I ain't putting no diaper on my gun gatdamn :laughcry:
>>
The truly intelligent criminal uses a revolver.
>>
Litterally swap the barrel on your gun. Your forensic ballistics are now useless.
>>
>>65330340
this anon is clueless
>>
>>65329188
You only see the criminals that get caught.
>>
>>65329188
Smart criminals do boring white collar crimes no one cares about.
Only 80IQ retards with zero forward thinking skills or impulse control do retarded nigger crimes.
>>
>>65330478

This. Expended brass stays in the wheel, so unless they're caught with the piece on them, there's no evidence left behind minus footprints (which is why some craftier ne'er-do-wells wrap rags around their shoes to hide the tread)
>>
>>65331048
Gunpowder residue will be all over there hands and clothes even if they were caught without "the piece on them".
>>
>>65331058
>your honor, the GSR on my client can easily be explained by the fact that shortly before the police apprehended him he had been dapped up by his cousin, who is a legal gun owner and had in fact been out shooting that very day
>>
>>65330361
>>65330363
I dont doubt its bunk science but do you have reading material on it? Would like to be more versed in the points.

Helicopter overwatch guy in District 9 has a brass deflector mounted on his scoped FAL, but not a catcher...
>>
>>65331229
This is a major one where they actually admitted it was unreliable:
https://innocenceproject.org/news/three-freed-and-fbi-continues-to-review-ballistic-cases/

Then there's this bombshell
https://www.naag.org/attorney-general-journal/presidential-council-issues-report-arguing-that-ballistics-testimony-should-not-be-admitted-as-evidence/
which more or less blew open the rest of firearms ballistics.

When you dig deeper on studies and methods used you'll always find things like this
https://www.nist.gov/news-events/news/2018/02/how-good-match-it-putting-statistics-forensic-firearms-identification
Where they're like "wow our method is so reliable, anyway we had like a sample size of two, admit it wasn't enough for actual real world use, but every law enforcement agency in the world is now using our methodology"
>>
>>65331454
That's actually an interesting idea, if he's worried about sending brass up into the rotor blades
>>

>>65331457
Thank you kindly
>>65331465
Its a very much real threat. You can see crew mounted guns have dedicated tubes to ensure brass gets sent where it should.
>>
>>65330317
Most gun homicides that aren't crimes of passion are committed with stolen firearms that just get dumped in a river somewhere after the deed. Even if ballistics forensics were Law and Order tier, it wouldn't really lead to many more crimes being solved.
>>
>>65331470
That's retarded. If a helicopter goes down just because of some brass it's probably a piece of shit that was going to crash anyway.
>>
Here's how gangland murder works
>Balaclava + sunglasses
>Glock brand glock 9mm
>At night, walk up to the guy and shoot him, then run away
If you don't get caught on the spot and cops cant build a surveillance camera trail where you enter a vehicle or unmask then it's no face no case, toss the gun later. Brass doesn't matter unless your weapon of choice is a Coonan 1911 or 5-7 etc.
>>
>>65331470
to be fair the minigun puts out an absurd amount of brass. The 240 in the main door doesn't appear to have anything similar. I'd also guess it's more about keeping brass off the cabin floor so the gunner doesn't slip and crack his head open or fall out of the bird
>>
>>65331555
that piece of shit probably puts 2lbs of brass straight up per minute
>>
>>65331603
M134D fires 3000 rpm and 7.62x51 brass weighs about 180gr per google. That's right at 1.3lbs or brass per second or 78lbs of brass per minute if fired continuously
>>
>>65331547
Nah, they're "stolen." The one black guy who isn't a felon buys them legally then sells them. If it ever comes back to him "oh man yeah someone broke in and stole all my guns, no I never reported it because BLM ACAB or something"
>>
>>65329188
You need a diaper for your gun?
What a baby
Real men want to taste and breathe in metal shavings when they shoot
But you wanna bitch about lead poisoning
Kamala's mamas boy

>sending brass up into the rotor blades
And engine intakes.
It's not good to have a layer of rolling brass on the floor either.
>>
>>65331457
>innocence project
Lmaoo fuck off nigger
